I tried to swallow
"Your words"
They had a taste of
Hatred,
Malice,
Contempt,
I threw my head back
And they went down whole,
The sharp edges of your words
Cut,
Blistered,
Burnt,
All the way down
My stomach tried to dissolve
"What was spoken"
"What was said"
But I couldn't digest what was swallowed
And I throw up
"The words,"
Tasting worse coming up
Then going down,
That day ill never be the same
You said things
And told me to digest the words
But they were hard words to
Swallow,
"You had found someone else"
"You never loved me"
My heart was broken
Shattered
Lost,
Painful,
And you  said these words
With a smile
How could I keep those words down..
