The voices in her head
Haunt her when she goes to bed

The secrets that she swears to keep
Make her sick from lack of sleep

Late at night she cries
But to their concerns, "I'm fine," she lies

She looks in the mirror and hates what she sees
From her frizzy hair to her chubby knees

She fights for the strength to go on
But fears no one will miss her when she is gone

Alone at night she puts up a fight

She holds on to her dreams
As the voices in her head let out their screams

But she builds up hope
And puts down her rope

The tears spill
But she puts down each pill

Not today,

Not tonight

She puts up a fight
Praying that one day, she'll be alright
