The smooth hot breath
of summer dances on her skin
A warm metallic fragrance
soaked into her tongue
as electricity pulsed
in the lingering humidity
Rolling embers illuminated
the midnight sky
The still darkness
hummed and sparked
Suffocating the timid
roars of thunder
