you remind me of a rose,
with a sweet scent.
and only it grows,
more beautiful than what it’s meant.

soft petals.
delicate.
where my eyes settle,
you’re elegant.

until i get too close.
once you’re not watered right,
your thorns chose
to ***** me in sight.

which only makes me fall more,
because you’re my favorite flower.
you’re who i’m all for,
even if you didn't want me for an hour.

this poem is about a relationship of toxicity. like a rose. appears beautiful on the outside, hurts you when you know the touch .
