Strangers

by SheOfNeverland

Fireflies dot the skies as we dance in the moonlit night unaware, without a care for the rest of the world. Your hands brush my face filled with gentle grace as we claim this place as our own, and with you I don't need a home. The willow sets the scene so calm, serene as the moon beams keep time, getting lost in the rhymes that we sing and the joy that they bring to my soul. You awakened me from a sleep so deep I couldn't tell I was dreaming or screaming for help, who knew a stranger could know me so well.
