Dec 2016
I wake up to the darkness
The morning light was gone
Replaced with the lightness
Of snow during the dawn
The gentle flakes fall and spin
The trees covered in white
Oh how long it's been
Since such beauty was in sight
There's an inherent joyful feeling
When the snow finally arrives
Warm emotions send me reeling
A welcoming of cold into our lives
Because of the stillness of winter
I see beauty so amazing, I shiver
