Falling softly through the sky
as clouds and tears and lives drift by
all that was and all that is
and all that's mine and all that's his

but I'd still choose you
even when you don't choose me
even though I know
that we can't be

I thought my eyes could make you see.

Sailing deep beneath the waves
the light twists outwards and concave
a clear reflection and a stain
of all my love and all my pain

but I'd still choose you
even when you don't choose me
even though I know that we

that we can't be

I thought my eyes would make you see.
