Ephemeral my sleep
My mind: obsolete
So sad my sorrow,
So soft my weep.
Roof-top sitting
Absorbed in heavens lid,
Constellations screamed but
I failed to hear what they said.
My heart so bleak,
So gentle the sweep
Of earth's tender beat
Beneath my feet.
Shackled down I hide
Face's frown
Beneath eyes
With dubious, thin hands
That eternally
Lie.
