You say something to a person thinking that it won't hurt. But one single word can keep reappearing in a person's mind way longer than a bruise or a scar. One word can follow a peson until the day they die. One word can push a person to the edge. One word can steal one's confidence. One word can destroy a life. So think before you speak.
Maybe it's a little overdramatized, but the message should be clear. I got the inspiration to the poem from my own life and the famous quote "think before you speak" which I've also used to end the poem with. I didn't write a traditional type of poem this time and it is my first time writing a poem like this.
To the Grammar-Nazis: I apologize for typos and wrong grammar, but english isn't the "second language" which I've used most energy on.
