Silence can be deafening, louder than any noise could make
from this nightmare of loneliness, if I would only now awake
my dreams are an escape, they provide me with some relief
allowing me a distraction, for my mind to ignore my grief

Dreaming of the sun and its warmth, true happiness I find
understanding for the first time in my life, bliss of the blind
only to awaken, and for this temporary recess to abandon
once again reminded, of things that only know to sadden

As the wind blows, its breeze is caught on my face
yet despite the intensity, my tears it cannot erase
the stillness of night, just continues to remind me
being trapped in my loneliness, I can never be free

My cries ride the wind, carrying them to a place unknown
stirring my feelings, feelings that only the dejected bemoan
and when the tears run out, it is clear that I did finally reach
that bottomless pit called despair, whose borders I now breach

Everything in this world, with its counterpart was it created
without this, happiness would forever remain belated
yet we become despondent that so many, alone do they exist
hearts consumed by fire, emptiness that continually persists

Where is the wisdom, and from where is the knowledge
when will we understand, and come to acknowledge
this world has a Creator, from whom everything comes into being
whatever has been ordained for us, there can simply be no fleeing

In the end, I find solace in the fact that it is never too late
if we learn how to be patient, He rewards those willing to wait
so do not give up hope, G-d saves with the blinking of an eye
first put your faith in Him alone, and stop asking the reason why
