Every morning
I crawl out from under my sheets
To cover my body in fabrics and threads
Hiding my skin and the truth

Every morning
I crawl out from under my sheets
To cover my face in creams and makeup
Hiding my blemishes and the truth

Every morning
I crawl out from under my sheets
To cover my sorrow in fake tales and smiles
Hiding my deep pain and the truth

Then,
I am out the door
Ready for the world to see my facade
