Stars

Train your eyes on something far away
Then look again another sunny day
Everything is coming fast
And you know it will never last
The sun goes down and the die is cast
Look at the stars they seem so vast
One day you'll be a part at last
A cosmic essence come to task
Around the universe you'll see everything
Not from one planet but true perspective ultraistic fascinating
Tomorrow you'll find it is today when time was constant imagining
In that you will find the parts of your mind set free and bright into stars in the night sky glistening.

Nightmares

I can't sleep because I'm having a nightmare every night

I can't sleep because there's something inside me that doesn't sit right

I have been through solace to try and put peace back into my life

I have tried to stay solid but my heart it seems has lost the fight

I guess I will just have to face my fears and end it all tonight

I cried so many tears but I'm looking everywhere with no sight

I have tried to sail on through this hurricane but my ship will sink under the waves Poseidon put their to end my holy plight

The morning come and I am washed up on the bed I sleep so I won on through and the sunshine says to me alright......alright.........alright..............alright...........alright........alright............alright............alright.

Compassion

Compassion

I want to dream of white petals floating down from the sky
As I sit in the middle of a sunshine that brings me high
I hear the sound of the most melodic music and I see god eye to eye
He has a golden body and sits in a mantra state to let people know what is here and why
His eyes are sapphire blue all seeing through what you have been also what you have not seen to complete your journey to the centre of what makes butterflies fly
Go backward to the place and time that happiness filled your mind with such wonders that propelled you to grow characteristics that shaped the mountains in memories and never let greatness pass you by
A piece of heaven you must find within your self or heaven never existed and I know that faith in every sane mind can remember a time that compassion can never die.

Aftermath

I get up out of the orange chair and go to the window and out I stare
The rain is making the road turn blue down our street across the avenues and I cry
I look across to a single tree and it's blowing furiously all the green and amber leaves all die
I turn to see the fields were I've grown and played then running home I look up to the sky
The feeling of despair comes over me because I'm right back were I started still never free but belong I try
I sit back in my orange chair and close my eyes and fall asleep under drug induced spiral just like a flying kite
So dream once again of what should have been a family with two children playing with a love satisfies
But wake alone in this lonely flat darkness through the windows and the sound of downstairs as my ear only pries
I look through the window and stars I see above the clouds that disappeared from all of the rains lullabies
Tomorrow will be again and again and again oh god I pray for my soul he walks by.

On Fire

A snowflake lands on barbed wire
A world emotionless stretched by a liar
A freedom of speech when its truth we desire
A preacher can preach but I'm not for hire
A ruling class made by slavery minimum wage provider
A crust is earned now here is your pocket money get wiser
A monopolisation on everyone by very few rough rider
A belief is a dangerous contention when this gun is on fire

The door is open
Peter Kiggin Mar 2016
Come through the door

I've never seen you like I know that you do
You've got to see me more and more
I want to see you more than you do
Come through the door

I look around at what it is that you do
I can't believe there were ever any wars
I want to go somewhere that you do
Come through my door

You know I cried because I loved you too
You know I cried whilst trying to reach the door
You know I know you listened very closely
You brought me to the door

In the silence I can hear you
In the times that I've listened in awe before
I wash my body in the water to be near you
I am clean so help me through the door.

Mind Travelling

Mind travel

Are you willing to travel further than the end of your seat?
Then let us begin our journey into the unknown parts of your mind that words can repeat
I give to you a pebble to make it real for when you wake it will be in your hand to make this journey complete
You are on a hillside in a place where you have never been before but familiarity is in the mind to meet
You see long flowing grass and butterflies of all colours reflecting a rainbow in your blue eyes and a field of strawberries you can eat
Realise that this place is for you and forever you can come here to walk peacefully without the worries of normality of dullness and defeat
A windmill so large its sails are as big as a street
A robin red breast sits on your shoulder while you eat bread together on a bench whilst watching a monkey play the drums to a beat
Subtle colours become so bright your eyes are compelled to take them in as if to first greet
Is this the real life I want instead of living in a dimension meant for scholars who happily walk a road made of tar and concrete?
I can walk on rubber sausages in my slippers over mountains and collect some bananas from South America and go to the corner shop for some custard and sweets
I have shown you the door now all you need to do is relax on a white billowy cloud and rest your feet
Look and open your hand and you can still see the pebble but you must believe in your mind what is right and always listen to your heart because your soul is flying fleet

Done

A room with a light bulb switched on
An empty space were furniture would have gone
A window to nowhere because the world never shone
A frozen shadow were once light had ended before it begun
A door closed to people who never had wealth or education to choose a life of a web they had spun
In a corner was a book on a chair which told of wisdom and peace then another chair with just a gun
You decide what am I to become
