Bringing my
Beautiful girlfriend to watch
My talented brother
Perform on stage

Don't know of
Whom I am the most
Proud
Perhaps

The scriptwriters
That compose my life
The guys at the soundtrack
Department

Deserve an award
Also
Good job, people
I would like to thank

The casting crew as
Well
Female lead this season
Is an adventure of an actor
The Swan from Cornwall
Oh gracious on the pond,
Reached out it wings
while singing his song

Listen my friend
like the frets on a guitar
I'll play you a tune
so  distant so far

The words go like this,
So simple and pure
Ripples the effect
I have given the cure.

The banshee it screams
like sirens in the night,
the slow dive that surrounds
its about perfect flight

Oh swan you lifted me
from shadows of past,
No sin is untold
More stories to last

Gratitude and fortune
I wish you a fond
The Swan from Cornwall
Oh gracious on your pond
This is for a friend who got me back into writing.. with a few hidden messages

Did I not deserve one moment of your time?
I stared at the walls, I was crying blind.

You were not there, I had no other.
A sister, a mother, but where was my father?

I wanted to talk, I wanted to grow
I felt betrayed with no place or no home

I was left scared, with no place to turn.
No father to run to, I was feeling astern.

Time passed by, I remembered what mattered,
all of my innocence, all but shattered

I found your headstone many years later,
I cried many tears, I found my father.

I saw the old man circling the tree trunk
Weather beaten skin, bent gnarled hands
and piercing blue eyes

He seemed to study every knot and crack
in that ancient timber

Then without a word turned and picked up hammer and chisel

The wood chips then began to fly and like confetti on the ground lie soon in heaps some ankle high

Occasionally he would stand back and look but never once a rest he took

Mallet strokes both hard and soft some from under some aloft fell there with unerring skill always busy never still

Long into the night he worked now by the light of an oil lamp and so the tree stump 'neath his hand then became a work of art

At long last he stood and turned to me and said three words " that'll do lad"

I approached to see just what he'd done and there I saw the perfect rose every petal and leaf in place the slender stems in the breeze did sway

With no plan or picture he had made the start
And created the perfect work of art.

So what is creativity? Well that's your next challenge.

No love poems because they've been done a million times. This time something unique
I decided to repost this after reading it, was going to change a few things but decided that its fine as it is

Alone lives under your breast plate

inside of you

It lives behind the curtains of us all

Take a deep breath,

now expel the broken air

You now understand,

We are all similar,

We are alive.

We are humans,

With hearts bending bones each and everyday.

With these hearts,

we love the best we know how.

Crane flies in my whiskey
In my good old mountain dew
Every time I take a sip
I swallow quite a few

Now I'm not complainin
About the ones that take a dip
Cos it means that I don't have to cook
Cos with every sip I take I eat a little bit

Problem is those skinny legs
A sticking in my throat
I really should stop camping
And seek a new life on my boat

Now look, I'm I'm not complainin
Cos they taste really great
But if I really had a choice
I'd choose a ribeye steak
The joys of camping
Love resides in the beautiful heart
And your eyes showed me the path
to the destination of infinite love

i still try to remember
to take my boots off
at the door

my feet are wet
from walking in the rain

i leave laetoli footprints
on the pine floor
-like the first man

trying to walk upright
but can't seem to
get it straight

There's a lot of empty space
in a house
so full of quiet

wishing for thunder.
