after the last time
I don't even want to admit
that I feel something akin to a connection
to a person with the potential
to so easily tear me apart

I am frightened
can't begin to think about
how I would ever be able to tell you
that I walk home every day
just to see your face
to watch the sunlight reflect
from your ocean eyes.

Mags
so now you sit there and pretend to be alright
though you know you can't make it through another night.

but you don't talk about it, even with your closest friends
(do they exist?)
because you know already, it would just sound strange.

you wouldn't know how to describe that "it"
a feeling? a word? or just a trick?

the truth is, you don't know how to begin.
it's just that you kind of... don't fit in.

you hang out with the normal group of friends
but feel left out. why pretend?

does he like me?
does she make fun of me behind her back?

am i different in any way?
should i change, am i... okay?

saying it, writing it down, it sounds silly

it doesn't even rhyme, does it?
does it matter? does it?

does anything?

These secrets I keep,
Are hidden behind an invisible thread
That I've woven around me

This thread,
Tightly securing
All that I hold deep

The world may creep up on me,
Cast out shadows
That ordinarily...would cause a girl to scream

But, I'm not afraid of the dark
I'm not afraid of much of anything
Other than, letting him see the real me

My *****, gritty insides
The scars that never healed

The decomposing lies
The dust that flickers past my eyes
The ghosts that haunt my mind

It's dark, it's morbid
Maybe too frightening for anyone to see

For once,
I want to rip the thread to shreds
Let the darkness seep out of me,
Like blood in the morgue

I want to bury my fear,
In a deep grave

Lock it up in a tomb,
Bar the doors so I can't look back

I want to show him who I am
Through unfiltered means
Without fear,
Of what could be.
I like this one, a lot.

I found my way back
back, to that place I go to
When I cry
When I sleep
When I die
High in the atmosphere
into worlds.
I have my own hide away
no one can find me.
I've watched the universe
spin slowly.
Change from dark to light,
night to day,
night to day.
I've seen caves and creatures
roam the planet.
Lush green trees
ripped from their homes.
Giant animals
fall to the ground.
I've called upon the archangels for protection
from the darkness that has covered the earth.
I've fallen out of my hiding place
and landed in the darkest of nights.
Sun that seems too bright.
Nights that seem too long.
Haunted by words that will
never
never
ever
fade.
But yet, I've always return
to my spot in the sky,
to watch the evolutions,
revelations, the nightmares
and the miracles.
I've watched our
Mother
Father
God
destroy and rebuild.
Destroy and rebuild.
I've seen the most beautiful things.
Even the city lights
look like fireflies illuminating the planet
from here.
I've found beauty in everything.
Every word.
Every taste, smell, touch.
Every third eyed sensation.
I am not omnipresent.
Only...
present.
I glow a soft shade of purples and blues.
Indigos.
All shades, with a white crown upon my head
pouring out the purest of white lights.
My head tilts back as I pray for salvation on earth.
Peace among men.
An awakening.
The earth glitters with hope.
I sit and wonder as I mindlessly play
with the token around my neck.
A ring for prayer.
A reminder of greatness.
I gently allow myself to fall,
sink slowly through the atmosphere
like I am drowning during a sunset.
Tragic, yet beautiful.
Again, down, down.
My wings know not to save me.

Today, the world begins

with money, power and fame

to name a few of man's sins.

A world where there's glory

in defeat of another,

no heroes in this story,

only thoughts that will bother.

Nations lay scattered,

with ideas galore

Unity never mattered

as weapons do more.

A miniscule part

of the 7 billion on Earth

have surrendered to peace

a life of sweet mirth

Their ideas are woven

around their family and friends

to provide for their own

to bring simple happiness.

Where is the balance

for the greed and need

how do we decide

which path is to succeed?

Protests and news

developments in technology,

a plethora of new views

leaves me in a bed of perplexity.

A world with no pain

a sea of merry souls

will it be of any gain

to our insatiabe goals?

If I were to die tonight what would you regret not telling me?
Would you regret anything that you did or didn't do?
Would you cry for me?
Would you come to my grave
Sit there and just talk to me?
Would you leave a rose
At the foot of my headstone?
If I were to die tonight how much would you miss me?
Would you even miss me at all?
Would you think of me?
Would you dream of me?
I was there for you
When no one else was
Would I if it was you?
Call me cruel but No!!!

"You came," her voice floated in the white
"Of course I came," I knew she was behind me
But I couldn't turn, only feel her hair touching my back
"It's a good sign." Her voice was a million echoing silver bells
"I guess I've started to realize..."
Her fingertips brushed my palm, light as wind.
"I have realized that it wasn't my fault"
"I told you it was a good sign"
In the corner of my eye, I saw strands of her hair, fluttering
"I miss you." I wanted see her, see her smile, white teeth and dimple
"I miss you too," her silver bell voice rung out sadly
"I can never forgive myself," my voice shook, my eyes burned
"Don't say that, it's not true"
Flowers underneath us were red, yellow and sky blue
"I should have been there, I should have always been with you"
My every atom ached for her, to turn and see her
I could remember the smell of waking up beside her
Starting my day with a wonder by my side
"Forgive yourself please, for me"
A flower was slipped into my hand, it was yellow
I turned and I saw her, she wore the garb of an angel
She smiled before she disappeared
Leaving me crying in the red, yellow and sky blue.
