Myriah May 2016
This was all a Choice
I made with the heart
Baby, I love you but I just
Couldn't take your ****
Anymore you had my feeling trap in a box my world was so black and grey  I had to find the strength inside  me  to let you go
Baby you taught me
A valuable lesson
Shouldn't give
my heart up so fast
And I learned when I was whit
You that I need to work on myself
Before I love anyone else

Throughout
our lives
we try to
win over the
hearts
of
others

But,
sometimes
the
hardest person
of all
to
love is
yourself

*Without you,
I would not be -

me

Thank you Mom

*If I were a poem
I’d ask you to fold me up
and put me in your pocket,
then at the end of the week,
toss me in the wash
with the rest of the clothes

And when you find me later,
smudged and smeared,
ripped and tattered into
little unrecognizable pieces,
don’t worry about it,
I was already like that
