I finger paint the craters of the moon with hints of your smile. Whoever said to start counting sheep can never fathom the importance of keeping track of the times your name is exhaled. I can never play connect the dots with the stars for I will only spell yours right next to the wishing star. I pretend the universe is paper and fold it. I am closer to you than ever before but the stars are crossed.

I see her
lying on my bed
tempting.
So desireable.

My heart races
as the woman I love
takes her top off,
seducing me with a single look.
Kissing my neck,
she's gasping for air,
and whispers into my ear,
"Take it all off".

Her eyes inspecting
my naked body.
Her fingers
trace my every imperfection.
My fingers stroking her
perfectly smooth skin.

She pushes me down on the bed,
and soon follows me to it.
Skin on skin.

One deep breath,
hold it in,
and let it out, moaning.

One same heartbeat.
A chorus of synchronized
voices,
rhythmically singing in
the language of love.

Her body slightly twitches
****** after ******.
Her eyes look at me
with a burning passion
that her lips seal
on my chest.

Two souls, naked,
stripped of any earthly chains,
only to become
one again.
Based on a dream and a loved one.

I have wires through my chest
monitoring my heart,
yet I wonder what they'll scan
for my heart's not mine.

Don't you see
the name
tattooed
over this
healing heart?
Just a thought...

A raindrop

landed upon the petal of the rose ,

lingered there  ~

refined in elegant repose.

The rose laughed

in joy

and fragrant bloom.

Then slowly,

delicately,

the raindrop slid,

until finally

it descended to the soil

in respite.

Absorbed by the earth

to the roots it would flow,

unbeknownst to the rose

still there to help it grow.

The rose

in sorrowful solitude

then looked up to the sky

from whence the raindrop came ~

its leaves held up in gratitude.

And in abundant mercy

the rain softly fell

from above.

This is Love.

“That which God said to the rose
and caused it to laugh in full-blown beauty,
    He said to my heart,
and made it a hundred times more beautiful."
~ Rumi
