It's like some form of video game
Where my ID is called up, instead of my name
The thing to do with every task
Is to wear a sweaty full face mask

You too have entered the skyrim
You too wear a mask, you're not that dim
We drop suddenly with hands on the floor
Seeking to beat our very last score

This is no type of emulator
But you choose to stick them on a ventilator
Thank God there is some form of medicine
To protect them from the evil of your sin

The next level is here for us to play
The next challenge is vaccination every day
Lets hope this vaccination works
Before the gamestation hits us with more quirks

Today I saw an SUV
Coming along the side of me
Nothing sports or utility
Just a driver full of futility

He's in a rush
That's all I know
Foot on the pedal
Gas to the flow

I'll let him pass
I don't drive fast
There is no rush
No need to crush

The next time you see an SUV
Don't think of me
Think of the planet and going green
Inside an SUV is nowhere to be seen
The SUV is the fastest growing car category globally and contributes the most to polution.

I pray today..
That you go away

I pray today..
That you let us play

The second wave is here
Let us take our ship and steer
A path away from fear
Thoughts, hope and prayer for us all with the next wave of COVID-19

We put together plans
But it seems you weren't a fan
All the money and toil to see someone
All the effort ruined for some fun

The more we work to keep you down
The more you stir and make us frown
It's like you don't know that we care
It's like you want our souls to bare

But we will see this through
You can't scare us with your 'boo'
You seek to spread with your velocity
But you hadn't countered on our tenacity
Pushing through the noise and disruption of this year and plans having to change and adapt

I'm running to Hope farm
I'm running for hope

I pass the naysayers
I pass the negative players

I reach Hope farm
I see your charm

I enter the door
Your light,  the core
I ran to a place called Hope Farm today on a 10km run.

Manny said
by lunchtime she'd be dead

You ignored me at the simming pool when I approached
The desert sun glinted off the flat roof top
Manny was your choice not mine

The call asked for grid details and map locations
I rushed through the tumbleweed to the spot
The spot where it was to happen

A van pulled up
My heart raced
A shot rang out
You fell, I shout
First attempt at Pulp Fiction. Kaufmann house a beautiful piece of modern architecture set in the desert in Palm Springs. I set an imaginery scene there with this poem. I have visited Palm Springs. You can find snow at the top of teh cable car in May and intense sun at ground level.

Bright light blesses us this morn
The dew rises on the stems of the grass
Un-expected heat comes to pass

We reflect on the Summer that was meant to be
That most us didn't get to the sea
And most of us didn't feel free

Oh heat beam down and give us solis
Give us strength for the Winter and what may come to stall us
As we pray that the darkness will not want to call us
Enjoying 30 degrees in the UK today.
