Ice* cold
Like my soul

     Growing older than old
  Melting away
         As the days get hotter
Why bother with the same things
      When everything changes
And I can't escape the heat
Of my heart as it finally feels

The darkness is where my soul enjoys
The quiet pleasures of solitude
The darkness is where I hide my voice
Not needing an ounce of fortitude

The darkness is where I can sing, dance
With all freedom to say what I want!
The darkness is where I'm out of trance,
From the cycle that light does to haunt.

The light is where all my fears had grown;
Such brightness that I could not hide.
The light is where my failures, exposed.
Mocked me and persuaded me to die.

The light is where I see all faces,
That want me gone somewhere far away;
The light is where my grief replaces,
And my joy won't see the light of day!

I can not move, I can not just speak,
So freely, for they will judge me then.
In the light is where I feel so weak,
And I long for the darkness again!

I can not hide my face in the light,
I can only hearken their laughter!
And so I cling to the starless night,
And stay in the darkness, forever.

I'm trying to decide
Which words best rhyme
With the way I feel about you

They must be just right
These words that I find
Ringing with the truth

Like that of fine dining
Or the perfect timing
No other words will do

Then I alight
On the well trued and tried
The perfection of I Love You

your light
is unattainable
and it never
seems to fade
with you.
to be alone
in myself
is hell
and there is no escape
from this danger
scorching the dreams
of myself.
I am the charred lips
that kiss your hips
before dawn breaks.
do not leave me alone.

why can't I find a way
to love this hell
I put myself in?

it digs me deeper
and deeper
into myself
and you never seem to
fade.

maybe
once I leave this world
you will no longer be a part
of me
but still
I cannot see myself
escaping this dark
without
you.

Though we've been born as humans ...it's pretty unfortunate that with every passing day we are becoming less **humane
Thine eyes
Were simply
Two pools of midnight
In which I'd stray
To heaven's celestial shores

there are black moons under your eyes
black streaks on your cheeks
black teeth marks on your lips
black wring marks on your neck
black scabs on your shoulders
black blood dried on your stomach
black dirt in your fingernails
black veins on your feet
you have a black soul
there's so much blackness
that i see nothing but light in you
nothing but light
you are an angel

i never knew i was capable of darkness
not until it seeped out of me
in ways i could not put a stop to
and seeped out with uncontrollable pace
sometimes it was visible only to myself
other times it was blatant and red
i never knew it was there though
not until i was shown the charred pieces of my young past
until i saw i had a heart which didn't just beat but bled as well
until i realized that years get darker as sun gets familiar
i didn't know i was capable of darkness
i didn't know until i decided to know
or maybe it wasn't there before it was
maybe i invented it
maybe everyone invents their own brand
maybe mine was darkness
should i sell it? would you buy?
