I was told that love is painful,
that there is terror of a certain kind
in being known.
But I've left that voice behind me,
now that love has soothed my fears;
that voice?

it was my own

It's the chaos that makes the orderly
And this I tell you solemnly
It's the crooked man that draws the straightest
The crazy eyes that make the greatest.
Beauty is from ugly spawned
The frog prince in a wild pond
The genius with his untamed hair
Wright Brothers with their crazy dare
An artist with a broken mind
Led out of chaos by this kind

The radio never listens to me
My dog never calls my name
Though the floors never walk on me
So I guess I can’t complain

The first flowers begin at the bottom,
New shoots of forsythia,
almost out of sight unless you look close.

The promise of spring
lies always near the roots.

Skies like that
Though coloring eyes for but only a day
Create new perspective in me
And remind me of my happiness
For I am also colorful in that way
The curse of wonderful creativity

Are Stars

Do the stars know that they're far
Or do they think that falling is just warm
In love with the friction of an attractive atmosphere
How they wish to plunge into our wishful sight
Like a rippling rock or a wavering tree
No stars are not afraid of being seen
If anything sought out in both sky and sight
As the most truthful of stars, ever been
Have and are smiling
From an insatiable height
Are Stars - And P.S. I'm taking back the trees

I know no pain
No ache or throb
Quite like the morning after life
The day after the perfect night
Which has gone into the bitter dawn

No walking coffee can salvage me
From such a feeling
Such a wrong

I am
Tired
