I gathered all
  the driftwood
of my love
  and built a fire
at high tide
  watching the ocean
rise from the smoke
  in so many eyes.

Whoever or wherever you are
should you look at the stars with their faint but self-assured light
know that somewhere in a far corner of earth
there's this weary old man who walks alone at night

heaving a long unrelieved sigh
for mankind's irredeemable plight
for demise of kindness and humanity
for untold sorrows of millions as nations fight

proclaiming:' Dulcis pro patria mori
the clamour roars and deafens in hateful might
never mind if civilians are sacrificed
we are on the side of right'.

How serene and content are the stars
nestled in the tender cradle of night
while we poor mortals *****
in self-destructive darkness---with no real hope of seeing the light.

there's four kinds of love poems.

1. the one about the guy who you wish to experience. the guy who makes you wonder. the guy you're curious about. the man who has dreams not yet revealed. the guy you have made a picture of in your head. the one you want to know.

2. the guy who broke your heart. the boy you love. love him more than anything, but maybe youre just not in love anymore. the boy who never quite transitioned to a man. the 'wrong time.' the one you thought you would live your life with. the one who wasnt perfect, or even great, but you thought of him the world.

3. the comparison. who you thought you loved, but realized later on there is a love much stronger. the people who fall into this category grows bigger with experience and time.

4. the love of your life and if you're lucky, hopefully he's the same person as number one.

streaming island before my vision
did i see you weep?
i know it's all a blind decision
will this soul you keep?

we are not islands, nor are we stones,
we wail at the walls,
sometimes our lives are not our own

*for we are foolish ALL.
Are we not ALL FOOLISH?
I KNOW I AM! LOL!

I **** out ghosts for a living
Money exchanging hands and television executives
I must have done something wrong in a past life
Because I'm caught up in a game
Featuring distorted rules
Played by the formerly insane
And now merely misunderstood
Decent people with decent stories
That I have no care to hear

Me and my girls we are lost together
Still walking as a memory
When a moment became forever
And the loss of love
Only caused a gain in sorrow
Never ending

What do I have to say?
That the wind doesn't say as it pushes the waves
I've seen you
As one sees the lights reflect on the water
And when the waves wash upon the shore
This is the feeling between us
How can I love?
In any way I can so that you can feel it
I've felt you
Like you wanted me too
Like the sands on the beach
     That we lay on together
Quickly written. I feel like I have a lot to say right now so I'm rolling with it

She sleeps in my red light
While I sleep alone
With someone
I know about empty wells
Alone I'm in a group
Alone I'm in a crowd
Singing all my songs
I'm a forsaken shepherd

So can I kiss you on the forehead
And lay these demons to rest
While the most important things
Make me smile
An incomplete poem that feels complete. If you know what I mean

Shine on you blacknight
like the dark light of a dead star

deep as a black well
drawn from my memory

clear as a mirror
over the mouths of the dead.
