It's kind of like staring into space.
You're not looking at anything,
But it's not as if you're looking at nothing.
And everyone around you is still moving around
Rolling in the grass
And laughing and living.
It's the last day.
No one even notices you stop
For just a few seconds.
A moment of contemplation.
No one will catch you on it.
Not even me.

And your hands wrap around
Under my thighs,
Around my hips,
And grab my stomach.
Trying to pull me closer,
And it's kind of funny to see you watching me.
So I grab your hair in my fists.
And fake it,
So I can steal my moment of contemplation.
You're lost in me,
You'll never catch me.
The art of love can not be taught,
it comes from within the heart,
lovers that finally meet,
had planned it all from the start,
the pen is mightier than the sword,
love and wisdom can not be bought,
Knowledge is the ultimate key,
All the answers lie within thee.
One
We are one,
Men, women, children, all.
Through the peace,
Beyond the gun.
We are one,
The Empire of the Sun.
When I was younger, I used to eat Lucky Charms all the time. I used to pick out all the marshmallows, leaving all the terrible, yet still very sugary "frosted oats." I made myself eat all of the bad part first, then as I reward I would eat all of the marshmallows at once.

I'm thinking maybe I should go about life like I used to eat my Lucky Charms...

Save the best for last, get the bad part over with, then have all the good stuff at once.

But what if I have more frosted oats than marshmallows?

What if the amount of frosted oats is too much to swallow?

I'd never be able to finish
Not really a poem, just thoughts
