My World
Jordan Mickey Jan 2015
Maybe losing him was the only way I would find myself
It took everything out of me to get out of bed for months
Yet I learned that I couldn't do it by myself
I was given someone that was there for me
Able to understand my heartbreak
Because she had been heartbroken before too
He stole my confidence
My sanity
Maybe even some of the care I have for people
I barely care about myself let alone any one else
But as I threw myself into my schoolwork
My best friend sat at my side and let me cry on her shoulder
When I thought he destroyed my whole world
I was able to realize he wasn't really even apart of it

I Let Go
Jordan Mickey Jan 2015
She wanted to look beautiful at the morgue.
But instead the scars on her wrist and inner thighs showed.
The only thing people didn't see.
Was the pain and scars on the inside.
She was taken over by herself.
she kept a smile on her face.
Everyone thought she was happy. She was a bright and smiling girl.
The girl inside her cried and shattered.
She breaks down at night.
She was okay for a while.
She relapsed.
This time was different.
She completely shattered.
She let the inside her take over.
She let her real self go.
She would miss her friends and family.
But it was time to say goodbye.
She swallowed the pills.
She was now in the ground.
But she was free and beautiful.

When your mom comes in your room to wake you up
she finds it the sharp object you use to put little scratches on your body.
The ones you put in places to cover or say that your pet scratched you.
She finds that your siblings were right. That you harm yourself and she starts to cry she wonders what else she doesn’t know about you.
She’s hurt because she never understood how depressed you are. She sits on your floor in your room with you softly snoring while she cries wondering what would have happened if she hadn’t found out. What if one day she would’ve found you dead in your bed because she didn’t have a clue.
Now all she has to do is talk to you about it…
But what if that doesn’t work??
Will she lose her daughter??
