I lifted you as high as I could.
The next day my left arm ached,
And I half-smiled recalling why,
Proof I had done my job.

It came as no real surprise,
To be accused of doing nothing.
The only woman pallbearer,
Of course my body should be brought into play.

The aching of my arm
Was proof
That I didn’t let you down.
Until, of course,
That was the task at hand.
Running can take you away from here;
I am homesick for a home I have known
only in the soft ridges of your chest.

Two legs and a broken heart
will not take you far.
Your cheek.
You were supposed to love me.
But instead,
you reminded me of sitting in a dentist's chair
or not being able to find a matching sock
or early mornings and crowded public transportation.

And I was supposed to hate you for that,
but instead -
you reminded me of a new cashmere sweater
and the lullaby my mother used to hum to me as a child
and the books that line my shelves.

And even when you made me go numb;
I could still feel you every time I got a paper cut,
and see you in sun that sets late on a summer evening ,
and hear you in the wail of my alarm at 6 am on a Monday morning,
smell you in the daisies that grew by the trail,
and taste you in the bitter flavour of my medication.

There were versions of you in everything I hated and everything I loved in life
and now that you won't even look my way,
all I want is to stop living.
"I'm always writing about the same **** person. I think I'll love him forever."

I know what I should do. I know because you're not here right now, and I know you're somewhere else with someone else. I know if I meant what I need to mean to you,  if you loved me the way I need you to, you would be right here. I know what's right. I will always love you and every choice has a conclusion and this is ours. Make tonight a step forward to your future. Because it's the last step from me that I can watch you take. I'm afraid I won't be writing here for a while. This was ours and I just can't be here anymore. Not for a little while. Maybe I'll write once more tonight. Just to conclude the beautiful stories of this past year. All my love. Always
Since when has love not been enough? I left a note on your bed, I'm never coming back.
You need to,
have the nightmare,
to,
appreciate the dream.
Dear my hopeful tomorrow,
I walk the streets during the day and during the night,
for you to take away my sorrow,
its hidden but still there,
and I feel you kiss me with rain in the air,
time and people move slow here,
like they know the date but forgot the year,
so I keep the headphones pressed in my ear,
wondering yet smiling, how did I get here,
tomorrow will be beautiful I say,
as the clouds and rain tell me you're going to stay,
I can dance with a memory,
but feeling down and low,
I smile as I hold my hand oot,
and ask like a geek for you to dance,
my hopeful tomorrow
Hello
Do you recognize me?
I am your voice within
You hardly hear me
Always... you ignore
my pleas..

I whisper your name
I shout sometimes
Just to correct you from wrongs
Just to show you
the light... the right path
cause I am your voice within...
I am your conscience
Your caring invisible twin

How sad...
you choose to pretend
Like you are deaf
Like I don't exist
I shout and scream..
your name...
Am I wrong?
I am destined to be
Your voice within...

Helen
one day, I'll sit
and explain
each and every line
I'll weave a tale
of every heretical thought
that crossed my mind
I'll describe the emotions
that clawed their way
through my chest
Alien like
and came to rest
upon a page
sage like
in its green(ness)
Exhalting in its freeness

Yes, one day I will explain
and until that day
read what you can
take what interpretation
that gets you though
the gelatinous mass
that is Life
One day, I'll explain
until then
let's pretend
we got through this
together.....
There's a place
between my veins
and bones;
It's orange
and filled with parts of you
I refuse to share.
