If every mile between us was a year,
we would be millennia apart.
If every lonely breath was a dying star,
the night sky would be black as ink.
If every tear was a page in a book,
between us, we could fill volumes.

If every bit of longing was a rubber band,
my heart would explode from pressure.
If every moment alone was a color lost,
my world would soon go dark.
If every day without you was a heap of gold,
I would sacrifice it in a heartbeat.

If only were together again,
the distance would close,
the sun would return,
the pages would burn.

If only I could see you again,
my heart would ease,
I’d regain my sight,
I would be alright.

At first I had nothing, but was not empty
Until I met you and changed me completely
You filled me, little by little
1/8, 1/4, to half full
Until to the brim you filled me.

I am already full, I could say
But still, you continued pouring.
Those emotions you gave were overflowing
I thought I couldn't handle,

So I told you to stop
I chased you away
Until you were gone
I told you to comeback, but it's already done

The feelings that you once overflowed,
Was there no more
All I could do is to keep these feeling you left for me
To let it linger inside me

But as time passes by,
The world, the nature, the sun won't let me
Evaporation gets the best of me

And now,
Little by little
The emotions I treasured was fading
The feelings were fleeting

But I won't let the world get on my way
I shall conquer all the odds
Just so that a part of you could stay

In the darkness I shall seek shelter
To hide from the sun
To protect the fragments of my lover

I laugh at the sun, and I mock the world
For I am able to protect of what's left
But most of all
I pity myself

For trying to satisfy one's self from that tattered dream

Pretending to be happy for keeping a half of it
Yes a half, but not half full, As it once was
Because when he left, it can never be half full
But will always be half empty.
So, what is it for you? Are you half full or half empty???
I only see you
in the dreams I fall asleep in:
the daydreams in my nightmares,
right before the darkness creeps in.
Behind a pane I cannot break,
I watch as if I'm wide-awake:
the flashback as I sink
into the deep end.

We meet behind the words
inside our stories.
You lie to me and me to you,
the whole thing is annoying.
"Never so alive!"
will be the vehicle we drive
as we go diving from the cliff
into the quarry.

I thought gravity, for granted,
was to ground me
'til it pulled the seven shores in
all around me.
It was a slight tectonic shift
that pushed my sanity out drifting
into nonsense:
time is tasted, spaces sound.
I am landlocked,
but convinced that I have drowned.
I had a flashback (or a dream)
that when we kissed, I heard your secrets
and they tasted so, so sweet
inside my mouth.
