Matanda na tayo
Ayaw na kitang hanapin
Sa mga lugar na wala ka
Sa mga bagay na hindi natin nagawa
Sa bawat gising
Na gusto kitang hagilapin
Halikan, yakapin
Bigla kong maaalala
Alas kwatro pa lamang
Maaga pa para umasa
Sa unan muna idadantay
Ang pagod kong kaluluwa
Bukas, baka kaya na ulit lumaban
Umaga na, iba naman

Put me to sleep
Bea Dizon Jan 2017
It's cold, numbing
I'm old enough to know
The snow is no playground
Carry on if you're gonna go
The brightest stars exploded a million years ago
Darling, if you would be so kind
As to put me to sleep as you go
Because I am cold and numb
But still awake as you know
Will you please put me to sleep
If you're packing your bags for the last time
I've seen everything
If I've seen the last of you
So darling, if you would be so kind
As to put me to sleep
No more promises to keep

Good night
Bea Dizon Apr 2015
Put it down
Sheer curtain
Hiding things
Except those it should
Turn the lights off
The dark is not enough
To mute your sobs
Close the book
You've read too much
Of a life you don't live
Close your eyes
It's a bad day
Not a bad life

Mourn
Bea Dizon Apr 2015
They say what they say
To people who’ve been left
That there are more to come
And it’s a long life
But the way I placed my thighs
On both sides of your torso
Lightly sitting on your stomach
While I tell you how my week went
How I let myself get lost
In the way you stare at me, half drunk
As if you’re something
I do not have to compete for
When I press your hand
While crossing the highway
Even if I get hit,
it won’t be so bad after all
And when you tighten your grip
Of my back
Ache and pleasure all at once
When we share cigarettes
And talk like old buddies
Who haven’t seen each other
After prison
And when you kiss my forehead
That I have to close my eyes
Because the touch is enough
The sight is too much
Will never be the same with another
Not all that’s lost can be found
