Though the distance
between the star and the earth
be a thousand light years
I would gladly walk on rough pebbles
till I get to the stars feet.

If heaven were a physical city in some distant land,
I would hold your hands and surmount the mountains between.
If depression were an island in the Pacific,
I would hang you on my shoulder and swim across.
If fun were a drop of water,
I would rain on you showers of memorable moments.

I will take you to the moon
and dance with you on those barren rocks.
We'll visit Mars and stand on Olympus Mons
At night we'll watch the stars
Pitching our tenths in space we would never grow old.

I would rather hold your hands,
than steal your heart.
I just want you to be fine,
Even if you aren't mine.
Dedicated to the northern star
Days of utter darkness,
could not match the blackness of darkness of one starless night.
those trapped in the casket,
will tell you better the horror and indignation aroused by a night without a Star.

I would give up my prestige and honour to scale through that night.
I would surpass the speed of sound with my feet to escape from the furry of ever haunting shadows.

The star has been my guide for so long,
how can I walk now?
I've been addicted to its serene smile,
from whence do I get sunshine?

One Starless night,
and hope will be flushed down the eternal drain,
One Starless night,
and darkness will swallow the last rays of moonlight.

Sometimes she says the damndest things,
She’s like a bird caught in string,
Funny,
You pause to wonder why,
Then the concern,
Could she strangle and die?
Sometimes I want to give her help,
But nature demands she do it herself,
You can’t deny the evidence,
She has survived the consequence
Yes,
She’s had her share of trouble,
Ties that bind,
Feathers ruffled
Because she lives,
She has to try,
Even a chicken wants to fly

Poetic T
A bag of melancholy emotions collect
within empty features, secluded & vacant.
No tears ever weaken this collection
                            of barren reflections.
Only whispers escape, soundless gestures.

It collects from distressed abrasions,
to smear upon its outer visage.
Always motionless it wonders the
surroundings to celebrate the humour
                     of its desolate existence.

A child wonders closely, asking if
this creation of lost collections is in
need of chloroform smiles.
it looks and hands a rose,
its leafs embers of its mourning.

Smiling, this miniature silhouette,
slashes out at the one who parented it.
              Cleaving what was smiles,
now carved features smear a face of
sullen smiles, as like the petals falling lifeless.

Tears flow like rivers, the contortion of
happiness fades when the last petal erodes
a motion under hidden gestures facilitate
this happiness to see such butchery of innocence.
But it is short lived like always, paper frowns collect.
Said the sea to the shore “you don’t love me anymore
All the good times seem like long forgotten chores
While sunshine ***** my waters making rain
I’ll visit other shores where I have lain
Make trees and grass and flowers grow again
Make harmony with clouds the sky I lend
Yet your sandy walk I will forever tend
Though you forget it’s time itself I bend”

Said the shore to the sea “you truly take me wrong
We will touch throughout eternity in song
Though moonlight is the mate for which I long
We’ll touch your tides like members of your tong
Make swirling currents beautiful and strong
For time is but the mask where we belong”

Said the sea to the shore “take comfort in my lust
For I turn even iron and steel to rust
Like the oceans of night’s sky I will remain
To touch your soul with yet a new refrain
That we may yet be lovers once again”

The distant, haunting trumpet sound
Peace came just like a dove
The fading of darkened clouds
Rescuing souls from war and blood.

No more we hear the country's call
We are heading home to those we love
No more we see our comrades fall
A welcomed hope from heaven above.

Those scars will never leave our minds
Here to stay and leaving their mark
Wounds they say will heal in time
How do we begin? Where do we start?

Very soon we'll be heading home
Away from those killing fields
To all our families and those we love
With beer, wine and home made meals.

The future will be much brighter
The past will stay in the past
No more fear of guns and the wounded
Just happy days will be here at last.

So let's march along with that trumpet sound
And let's salute to that peaceful dove
Say farewell to where wars abound
Let's celebrate a world of love.
I often wonder how soldiers felt when they heard the war had come to an end, and likewise soldiers in modern time.

Dawn
how lucky are we,
to be living in an earth
with a shadow so big
it could cover a blue moon
in a night sky so dark and wide,
that despite being hundreds of miles away from our families,
we still get to watch the same phenomenal sight that they too could see?
and the idol was so reliant
on an alliance team
without their subsidy he'd not
obtain acclaim's dream*

the popular limelight elevated
him up into the stratosphere
none of his zealots were
yearned for around here

they'd been used by a
so called fellow who rocked
on finally realizing the fact
they were dismissively shocked

of recent days the tin god
is attempting a revival
but past stalwarts assert
*there's no prospect of survival
