I was at the top of the world
the highest of highs
but with one simple message
you said your goodbyes
so now I'm shaken
hurt down to the core
fall down onto my knees
and slam my fists on the floor
because I know that
you love your ex so much more
than you could ever love me that's for sure
yes I gave you my heart
knowing you would keep it safe
but I was wrong you broke it
like an empty *** vase
so now the tears fall down like
I got sprayed with some mace
and now my heart is going
crazy in such a frantic race
no I never thought a person
could feel the way I do
heart is broken
but still in love with you
I just want so bad
for us to begin again
but I'm afraid that it won't
I'm afraid this is the end.

one day you held my hands,
the next day you fist bumped me.

(inspired by cute crazy's "unfair")*

I
  loved
    you
      for
        who
          you
            are...

and
  you
    threw
      me
        away
          for
            who

                  *I  wasn't

Things Within
(A poem on Depression)

Things within are hard to see
But we feel them deep inside
When others ask how we are
We smile and tell them lies

Things within our inner thoughts
That seem to never go away
Emotions that cannot be stopped
We hear them each and every day

Things within that no one knows
And we hope they never do
Many different parts of life
We hide from daily view

Things within we must let go
Like the demons from our past
We try to push them far away
And hope they don't come back

Things within they can be changed
If we share them with a few
Know many others have things within
It is not just only you

We all have things within

Carl Joseph Roberts
This poem written in response to the Dread Poet Roberts who is having a poetry contest to bring awareness to the issue of depression. Although the Dread Poet Roberts has my last name, He/She is no relation to me at all. The poem is meant to bring light to depression and how some feel it deep inside every day and must attempt to hide it. The every day struggle to overcome.  No matter what, never think you are alone.
piercing
an arrow shaft of pain
from nowhere
straight through my heart

where are you
why did you leave
I miss you
more, so much more

you're not there
at the end of the phone
your voice
my port in a storm

I miss you
more, so much more
tears from nowhere
rivers of pain

you're there
somewhere
where the birds always sing
and the flowers always bloom

I love you Pa

They say I'm cold like snow
Here's proof:

Friends?
Roughly 7
All but one sit at the lunch table with me
The boy of course joe
Everyone else are girls
I'll be in my own world while everyone else is
Talking and laughing and I'm
Eating... Listening...
Crystal tries to revive me
Hello?
I looked up
I noticed that the cafeteria got a little quieter
I felt a bunch of eyes stare into my soul
Everyone at my table start staring at me like I appeared out of thin air
Everyone in the cafeteria except for a few tables did
Probably because I did
I looked back down and the cafeteria got loud again
My table still stared at me in awe and they were like
"She looked up!"
"I've never seen her face at that angle in a really long time!"
"***!***!***!***!***!***!***!"
I looked up again
The cafeteria became quiet
I looked down and it became loud again
Crystal playfully poked me
I poked her back harder
The bell rings, we all leave, blah blah blah
I still can't believe everyone did that to me
I can't be center of attention!
I can barely talk to one person at a time!
