Be not afraid...

My true heart, may you stay strong,
The jagged edge of a broken champagne glass
gently kisses my love’s wrist,
Her blade of glass drowns between the lines of blood,
She offers a rare gift, it is the silent music of her soul,
Life blood red as rubies sold,
It flows from veins still fresh with love’s eternal truth.

Be not afraid...

Man is the cruellest animal,
He plays games of hot desire and sticky traps,
Like bee to honey are girls attracted to Love’s dreadful fall,
The only good heart a Man has
is the one he rips from a Woman,
Man tramples, kills and destroys with his blind lust,
It is Woman who generates the creation of newborn beauty,
Man thou art but a false-hearted beast.

Be not afraid...

Remember your strength and never give up the fight,
The individual has always had to struggle
to keep from being buried under the tribe,
If you try it, you will be lonely often,
and sometimes frightened,
Out there in the cold no ear listens,
Born crying from the womb, only a few die smiling.

Be not afraid...

No price is too high
to pay for the freedom of owning yourself,
Too costly is the price of living in a cage,
You need chaos in your soul
to give birth to a dancing star,
Children of love’s revolution
are sacrificed in the summer solstice harvest fields.

Be not afraid...

There is always some madness in love,
But there is also always some reason in madness,
Beware the thorns amongst the gold red rose,
In the shadow of the wall
Men become monsters,
Flowers twist into barbed wire,
Tear down this wall of deceit and lies.

Be not afraid...

For Death shall never conquer Love,
Where be thy sting, Death?
Grave thou hast no victory!
Every breath we take is a step closer to Death,
In the kiss of Death we finally wake up
from the hollow dream of life,
In the cold twilight my love all alone she sits.

Be not afraid...

Dance with darkness to find the diamond light,
Fear eats the soul,
It dines on your desires and drinks your hopes,
Out there it waits, in the dim edge of your day to day,
Come my love, as the hour ticks by and bye,
I will wait for you by the gates from beyond the edge of reason,
There will my love find her heart’s true desire.

Be not afraid...

Take good care of yourself,
My lady of the crystal lake,
Below these wintery waters swims
a world more precious than air,
Here, take my hand, hold me tight
as we two take to the lake for one last time,
No crying do we want at our going, only songs of bitter joy.

Be not afraid...*

Some say you must be brave
And to face each new day
As a day further from the grave
A day where Death kept away

Try telling that to a cancer victim
Where each new day is a luxery
Each day is special to them
Each day they hope they will see

Or tell it to a victim of ****
Where the hurt is so deep inside
From nightmares they can never escape
Feeling they have lost their pride

Tell it to the soldier standing there
Living with the terror and blood shed
See the horror in his eyes that stare
Knowing that any time he could be dead

Tell it to the mother who lost her baby
Knowing new life was taken away
To her there will be no maybe
To her she weeps every day

So think of what is all around
What to this world we have done
Death, he comes without any sound
Cry with me new tears always begun
Close my eyes to sleep

Then I am sleeping deep

I have no words to say

So I will dream the day away

Dream of a World of peace

Where all war will cease

Where no killing takes place

With no discrimination against race

No child will ever starve

Everyone has food to carve

No famine is out there

Everyone is treated fair

Never crimes saved on tape

No woman will ever face ****

No drunkard fist to feel

No one will ever steal

No dog or cat is rejected

No illegal drugs are injected

Dreaming of only harmony

Never fear of any harm to me

But when I awake from my dream

The world will still silently scream

Of a dream that can not be true

No real dreams for me and you

I wrote something beautiful
on the skin over his spine.
Counting all the little
love-you-bumps
until I found the trembling song
of his lower lip--
then he kissed me
and made all my beautiful words,
hush.

From the day we are born
To the day we die
We walk this earth alone
Not a soul to guide us
Nor a hand to help
At the end of the day
In our thoughts we are lost
Consuming our mind
We are alone again
Never to feel
Never to see
Never to speak
Never to love
Suffer the innocent

Who do no wrong

They close their eyes

And they never belong

Suffer the children

In a harsh world they grow

Danger within their playground

It is all they ever know

Suffer the woman

Living only in ****

Where would she go

How would she escape

Suffer the man

Judged by the colour of his skin

Cursed for being different

Why is that a sin

Suffer the poet

Having the words to say

Sadness to write then down

Innocent in no other way
Caught up in bereavement
we seduced each other.
You took a part of me with you.
Now let me brood.

Drain the *****
then the blood.
An epty shell
devoid of
anything
you can offer
to this
dead-end game.

We choose the poison
that will ****
our beauty
second
by
second,
drip
by
drip.

... until we growl away, taken further into the darkness.
She keeps a bar in the window
Of the room she sleeps in every night
It's there to keep the rapists at bay
She doesn't bother with the other windows
Because her boyfriend will stop them
If they come in that way
These rapists aren't a figment of her imagination
Or a ghost from her past
They are a delusion of her present
Yes she was *****
But any lingering feelings she had about that
She ****** away a long time ago
I know they say **** lasts forever
But the bars in the windows are new

He sleeps with the covers off
It's a lot hotter at night now
Since they stopped opening the windows
He wakes up a lot for his midnight snack
Bagel and cream cheese spread with a spoon
He doesn't want to bother getting out his keys for a knife
He says, “I know she has issues,
But we all have issues, I have issues
That frankly I'm glad she sees past”
He's right that we all have issues
But his issues won't end up killing him
Hers will
I know they say love is forever
But the midnight snacks are new

She wakes up every morning with a smile on her face
Goes to bed every night with tears on her cheeks
The world never lets her have a happy day
She takes a shower and goes to work
Wonders if she'll get to see him before she hates him
Or is it her love the world wants to take away
She worries he'll give up on her
That he'll leave like all the others did
I mean they have *** all the time what else do boys want
If you were going to leave why didn't you go earlier
You know I'll just **** my self when you do
So just go now so we can get it over with
I know they say **** is forever
But forever is just so **** long

The suicide threats aren't new
He may have left a year ago but he can't now
Not now that she means it
He lingers longer before locking the knife drawer
Every filleted fish is a potential slit wrist
Not that he wants to die it's that he wants to help
She's louder every time she yells
He wishes they were fighting that would be the only normal part of their relationship
I mean he loves her so **** much even that's not normal
Tonight will be the fourth candle lit dinner this week
He read somewhere the dim lighting should soothe her
She thinks he's just trying to be sweet
But it'll end the same they'll make passionate love
She'll take a shower that lasts just a little too long
And he'll spend that time plotting her cure
They say love lasts forever
He hopes his suicide will too

Lighting crashes,
on the cold concreate.
Eluminating the sky,
screaming at me 'defeat'.

The rain pours down,
flooding the streets.
Drag me to the road,
kiss me soft on the cheek.

The thunder sounds,
hard and loud.
It scars me lots,
those stupid black clouds.

But your touch is warm,
against my wet shirt.
And your kiss is firm,
making my lips hurt.

You pull back slow,
look into my eyes.
I look up at you,
completely mesmorized.

Your touch is firm,
your eyes bright green.
As lightening eluminates,
the cold deserted street.
