Sweeter than the song of a nightingale
Gentler than the whisper of a spring wind
Quieter than the murmur of  summer  grass
Softer than the symphony of hyacinths

Hypnotic like the splash of blue seas
Tinkling like a stream that flows
Mesmerizing like the cadence of rain
Enchanting like the hush  of snow

Like the faint breath of a scarlet dawn
The rustle of clouds on a turquoise high
A duet of  night and an ivory moon
A Capella of  stars in the sky

A hymn, a chant, a choir of angels
Singing  on a rainbow of time
Celestial is the serenade of love
A tune and a note divine.

Thank you for your wonderful responses and I am so happy this poem was selected today. Means a lot to me... :)
It's  a  nice  crisp  frosty  morning.
All  is  still, no  wind.
Trees  and  bushes  motionless.
Birds  rushing  around  hunting  for  food.
Sky  clear  with  a  hint  of  sunshine.
We  must  make  the  most  of  it.
Rain  and  wind  is  waiting  in  the  wings.

Keith  Wilson.  Windermere.  UK  2016.
Vanity of vanities, the Preacher saith,
All things are vanity. The eye and ear
Cannot be filled with what they see and hear.
Like early dew, or like the sudden breath
Of wind, or like the grass that withereth,
Is man, tossed to and fro by hope and fear:
So little joy hath he, so little cheer,
Till all things end in the long dust of death.
To-day is still the same as yesterday,
  To-morrow also even as one of them;
And there is nothing new under the sun:
Until the ancient race of Time be run,
The old thorns shall grow out of the old stem,
And morning shall be cold, and twilight gray.
This cruel winter wind
Is like a thousand daggers
Piercing through my skin
My first Haiku :)
