How much longer do you think I can withstand
the pain of being torn apart from the
inside out? The claws ripping into my
heart, piercing my soul, making this into
a nightmare; tear-stained wishes pouring as
love floods off my tongue, easy yet broken;
my mind running circles until the thoughts
make me dizzy and I fall; paralysed,
hypnotised, terrorised. How much longer
do you think I can cope with this hole in
my heart, the hole that can only be filled
by you? Let's count.
~~ We'll see how many fingers I get to before I break. ~~

I wander a burnt barren landscape
Beautiful gardens now churned up mud
Ancient, irreplaceable monuments now shattered ruins
Over there a dead woman
Beheaded because she refused to submit
To a way of life devised in hell
People dead lay like scyth cut corn
Laid low by a torrent of religious hatred
Millions flee, homeless, terrified, nowhere to go
And yet among their ranks the enemy lives
Yes, the enemy. Ready to strike, to ****
And all because
We chose to turn our backs on the truth

Well Ernesto you're leaving us in body
But your spirit will always live on
Through the beautiful words you have left us
