you hold he key
to open my heart's gate
you hold the key
so wonderful of state

darling no other but
you can enter this place
for it is reserved
as your loving space

on turning the lock
an adoring did ensue
there my deepest feelings
were lasting in hue

you hold the key
to open my heart's gate
you hold the key
so wonderful of state

a nectar dream
we'll ever possess
the stream so divine
flowing through my egress

the treasure vault
yours and mine
a devotional niche
paved with sunshine

you hold the key
to open my heart's gate
you hold the key
so wonderful of state

Read the elements
Animal speak
Call the dieties
Alter the energy
Manifest destiny

Align the chakras
Vibrate higher
Heal the healers
Protection rituals
Become habitual

I do no harm
Do none to me
I work for source
To set you free

Of the demons
That grip you
Quite literally

I look down
Take in the ground
I am home
I am one day wiser
A whole life naive
Bring me closer
One day wiser I connect to the north
One day brighter I connect to the south
One day lighter I connect with the east
One day stronger I connect to the west
But still
A whole life naive

We crossed into Louisiana
Right about witching hour
The energy there
Invades the aura
Years of compacted sorrow
Combined with the
Old ways of root doctors
And esoteric power

You take the Hoodoo
To the crossroads

We're in the back roads
Of Monroe
They talk to you there
Ya know

I put my bare feet
To the swampy grasses
At the railroad tracks
Illuminated by the waxing moon

Hail Hecate!
We envoke thee
Commit this wax and ash
To the earth
Blessed be )0(

I mean no drama
In my busy backbone stance
I laugh it off
But my sarcasm likes to dance

Words are free
They cost us nothing
We give them away
When we say something

So here are some words
That describe being friends
Put them in your pocket
And hold them within...

I hold no grudge
No resentment lingers
No vengeance is mine
No pointing of fingers

Bygones be bygones
Let us be one
Voice of reason
All said and done...

South by Southwest
I crossed the bridge
of my rebellion
only to find the truth
implanted firmly
on the other side
The stars laugh
at my audacity
"We've seen your kind before .
Their bones lie in the holes
of forsaken eternity"

I cry out to proclaim
"Even the stars
will have a judgement day .
You burn brightly now but
In the end you will have to pay ."

Nothing lasts forever
Not the stars nor
even this universe
Even the blackness
of outer space
has it's time marked down
as to a final resting place

So as for me I crossed my bridge
I have nothing more to say
I stand here and I'm trembling
Frightened and excited
of what the will
will be

And once I was a poet
Words poured out
Just as waterfalls do
Among the fauna and flora

And once I loved a man
Tears poured out
Just as scorned ones do
Among the lie and injury

And once I was a scholar
Dreams poured out
Just as the progressive do
Among the movers and shakers

And once I was a hussler
Schemes poured out
Just as survivors do
Among the users and takers

And once I was a nomad
Splendor poured out
Just as free souls do
Among the winds and gods

And once I was a poet
