a rose oh so pure
blooms in the garden corner
all too overlooked
I want to plunge into the deep end of the ocean
Sink and watch the view
of a distorted sky above
fade

Feel the heat leave my body,
my eyes only seeing darkness
gradually enclose

I'll descend deeper

Water shielding my ears from
all noise
while suspended
In the tidal free
abyss
I am truly free
To live

Miss Honey
I was sitting at a traffic light
and I saw this huge rosemary bush
in bloom
and the lilac poked through
whatever tender golden blossom
lie next to it

and it made me think of you
and your sweetness
I find some simple relief
In my sullen silence
Snuggling with grief
Squeezing my fists for hours
Followed by 30 seconds of release

My peace of mind
Has been smashed
Into a million
Sand like pieces

My hippocampus
Is stuck
On repeat
A need for you increases

I found some simple relief
I know time is limited
So I'll make this brief
I've been living in this gray for so long
They've crowned and named me chief
