Isn't it ironic,
how we tell others to stay strong,
yet we cant do it ourselves?
Everyone seems to think
I am the “master” at
solving problems but,
I can't even figure out
how to solve my own…
Winter, snow,
Geronimo!
Racing down the sled hill.

Wind blows,
Frozen toes,
Bring me more hot cocoas!

Composed this with my son while we were on a road trip. I'm so glad he enjoys poetry and so proud that he wants to write.
If a stargazer falls in love with you, every stars and asterisks she found will be named after you, and she will find out how the constellations link up just to construct your jawline

If a traveler falls in love with you, every journey she'd make will not take her further, because her maps and compass will always lead her towards you

If a scientist falls in love with you, she will compound a formula so the chemistry and bound between you two will never have to expire

If a musician falls in love with you, your name will become refrain and echoes in every songs she composed, while the birds will be singing to it on the first day of Spring

If an artist falls in love with you, she will potray you in every paintings; of you sipping a coffee or even sleeping in the middle of late night conversations

If an astronaut falls in love with you, God, she will fall for you like the Earth does for gravity

If a poet falls in love with you, her poems and poetry will be made of your heartbeat and the stain of your lips

but,

If a writer falls in love with you, you'll become eternal; as when your body returns to dust, she will turn you into paragraphs and sentences that live for decades
We're all searching for a purpose
That makes this all seem worth it
A life that is fulfilling
Pray that God is willing

Spending time high and low
Taking life to and fro
On pins and needles in our mending
Hoping to sew a happy ending

Some folk find along the way
It's true in what some people say
There is no higher purpose
Than that of serving others

It takes the focus off one's self
And puts it onto someone else
With the filling of several needs
As on both sides blessings intercede

So give to those in need you find
Having received less from their lot in life
You will find that it is worth it
When you find this is your purpose
Today I heard Hope.

Hope that letting you go is okay.
That probably we'll meet again someday.
That not knowing what fully happened is totally fine.
Because probably God had better things defined.

Oh, what I'll do to hold those hands again.
See that smile on your cheek.
Or the way your eye shines when I try to act smart and make you squeak.
Babe, what happened between us I can't fully recall.
Maybe that's my heart responding to a broken call.
Or maybe my mind had played tricks on me.
And does not want the good memories to leave me.

Anyhow I'm moving on.

As I turn I carry this hope.
No grudges, no faults.
No bad things in the past nor the good stuff I still anticipate.
As I sleep tonight I'll erase them all like a day's waste.

As I rise in the morning I know I'll smile.
Because for months I forgot how it's been to wake up weightless and happy at the same time.

Best of life to both of us.
Again, I loved you but I will no longer be dwelling in the past.
to God who gave me hope in knowing that better things are yet to come.

to finally letting go of the past.

to cheering for the future.
