Neck-deep in the business
of business,
only his head remains sleepless
in the dark of early mornings
to enlighten those
who sleep in, and spotlight
his peers who delight him.

His capital investment
is love and empathy;
he replenishes the funds spent
on an island of shelter,
the helter-skelter of Monday-Friday
a Distressway away.
North Country chair on the dock
over beckoning waves
sounding their Circe song,
drawing him to the bedrock
of peace
with himself and others.

Generous with his words
his head runneth over
and verses cascade down,
filling one from another
like a mountain of flutes
poured from a veritable jeroboam
of the muse's vintage.

Only love shows as he writes
doing the poetic hokey-pokey,
left foot in, left foot out.
He has turned my world around...
and that's what it's all about.
It's about **** time you got your own tribute poem.

Trapping our lives
Programmed
To wake up
And **** in the night
Lap tops
Coffee hot
Device
In your face
Take your *** to work
   You'll feel better at play...

Yet algorithms
Can never hold
The opus of
The living soul...

The restless heart
A reverse polarity
When poetry's written
At a quarter to three

And so....
No thank you
Computer
I'm begging you please
Don't let the algorithms
  Choose the Daily!!!

~for Pradip~

these words,
a blessing bestowed
upon me, by you,
about us

say kiss me write love me
for all the contextual hints that lie
within and between them ~
"gloriously adhesive"

a monument to our five years
of living together,
the friction of our grip upon each other,
under one roof, in a land of
no matter
what the language,
what the alphabet,
we are the prime,
a living example,
of the human~poem,

our glorious adhesion!

<•>
from only love poetry,
I rename you here,
only love Pradip

whisper me a title (you, the acquired taste):

Acquired taste,
for a habit sweetly indulgent,
gloriously adhesive.

I am new to this site
I have to ask why
so many people here
Use a lower-case i
Is there a trend
The reason why
Grammatically correct
To verify
No longer apply
Free verse poetry define
Free of limitations of
regular meter or rhythm
Artistic expression
Yet if your purpose
Is to publish
The capital i(I) shows
You Matter
I use to teach at a post secondary college
It is not my intent to embarrass or make anyone feel bad
Corrective critique is a tool to help improve our work
Isn't that why we are here

here can lay the power
if you are receptive,
to let you see the world
from a new perspective

it can be the filling
or icing on the cake,
send you off to peaceful sleep
or keep you wide awake

it can liberate your thoughts
from a recess dark and deep,
make a poor man rich
or help a mute to speak

by your side all the time
like a faithful friend
it can stay with you
to the very end

Do you ever go outside and just sit in the sun, breathe in, and just be still?
Do you ever listen to the wind blow and just let Mother Nature seep in and heal?

Close your eyes and look up to the sky and let your body sway with the trees
Be thankful for where you have been and for the journey that will lead you now to be

I try to do this as much as I can and wanted to share a little piece of me with all of you
This love affair I have with nature helps me reconnect and gives me strength to push on through
Tis the season to be out in the woods hunting and thankful for life's many blessings :)

Your shinning sun pen
lit your way
to a poem trimmed with truths
ribbons of words like silk are wrapped,
sealed with the vibrations of song.
Your name harbors a poets dream
Inside rays that annoint pen.
I am grateful to one called sun
Who moves high in life.
