Julie Artemov
She was unmistakably clever,
People strolling past her on the street
would ponder to themselves briefly,
She must be a professor or a lawyer.
But it wasn't her round glasses,
Or her fitted blazer that convinced them.
It was her yellow shoes,
and the way they seemed to float
above the stained pavement.

She
She stretched her arms towards the sky,
And stood up on her tippy toes,

She made her hair a skyscraper,
And her nails far too long,

She always talked loudly,
never walked, just danced,

Her laugh was stupendous,
Her tears were waterfalls,

Oh how she cast a shadow,
That drowned anyone in it.
