Daedalus' words were just another
Example of reverse psychology.

There is no sun to melt the wax
Enforcing your wings.

Flight is a victory in- and of itself;
Freedom, however brief.

Never fear to rise too high.
Those who didn't rose safely.

You would have been just fine
Without the warnings;

Only you and the Sea knowing
The escape you chased was

Within
Her.

Ancients stare down
silently,
sitting atop
the inscripted stelae
from across the plaza.
Icy winds rip
the Altiplano
& if you listen,
listen hard enough,
you'll hear
them whispering
the sacred code.
I've heard them twice,
it gripped me &
I stood frozen in my tracks
to hear the condors
sing primordial tidings.

its a good smell, Humans,
it got me a job in a fairytale.
I always was a giant
and beans go well with their flesh

I wonder if
Orion knows,
or even the Seven Sisters,
just how often
they've been crooned about,
by many a forlorn
& starstruck lover.

In verses &
in rhymes,
millions of lines
crying love,
the heartbreak
of our times.

I marvel.

So twinkle, twinkle on Orion
& you my Seven Sisters,
you dearest twinkling friends,
shine brightly in the pitch,
continue to give us hope,
to give us something
to still believe in,
to make our lives
more richer.

My life it was over
What was it worth
Is it worth
Heaven,
or
Hell
What did I do
Was my existence worth it
Do I see the pearly gates
Or
Do I slip in to the pit of eternal hell,
My eyes are closed
No longer do I see
Two coins upon my eyes
For the Boat man of the river sticks,
I will only see when I reach my port
Eternal Bliss
Or
Eternal Torment
What Is my life worth
To those who hold judgement
What makes me
Dammed,
or
Free of Sin,
I wait upon the shore,
Coin in hand,
So many waiting
For the ship to land,
The fog does lift,
And the boat man appears
I have but two coins to give
And he looks upon me
Up,
&
Down,
And says
"*******"
Two coins
What ******* year do you think this is
I got costs, bones to feed
But as I am about to go
The boat man chews on my coins,
Platinum,
"DAM"
You get the yacht,
This is death first class
As he shouts to those on the shore
This isn't public transport
"YA IDIOTS"
Fools think its "66"
And with that I travelled in style,
Just remember people death isn't Cheap..

Black feather, eyes as dark of night
What do you see with those
Pools of midnight,
You scratch upon naked rock
Talons like knifes
Symbols,
Cryptic,
Answers,
Not, for you are the bringer
Of news many wish not to hear,
But you are the midnight bird,
Dressed all in black
Emotions hidden
Behind those eyes,
As dark as coal,
But shine so bright,
What do you want,
What have you come to see,
Bearing witness, to my plight
A messenger to my untimely death,
I touch your feather
Black,
Silk,
Midnight,
Eyes I now see through
I see that you are but a messenger
Not of ill will but to warn
Of deaths intentions on this night
Extinguish,
Smother,
Erase,
My flame called life,
I 'm ready for what is to come,
I nod with expectants,
Thank you,
Messenger,
I miss understood
You are cloaked in darkness
To hide from deaths sight,
Eyes black as midnight, to hide your stare
Fly before you are caught this night
Try to warn others of there impending plight.

~

A happy young fairy went walking one day,
enjoying the blue skies she found
When there ‘fore her rested a little sad heart,
whimpering soft on the ground

She knelt down before it and held out her hand,
finding a tear call her eye
and said with a voice as if heaven had sent
“Why little heart do you cry?”

“I’m all alone and have no one to love me,”
Were the sad words that he said
“So now I sit trapped and empty forever,
woeful and left here for dead”

“Oh my dear heart with your tear drops just flowing,
please take my hand and you’ll see
I have more love than you ever could wish for,
come let my touch set you free”

He reached for her hand and his beat happened faster,
a smile then formed on his face
His tears had all ended their sorrowful flowing,
nothing was left but a trace

She lifted him up and said, “Look all around you,
you will find beautiful things”
Then with a wink and a snap of her fingers,
this little heart he grew wings

“Go fly my friend for I give you your freedom,
you will find someone to love”
She waved as he flew with a new found excitement,
into the blue skies above

Grasping his katana,
he sits stoic,
the keeper of the wisdom,
generations passed down,
a true follower of the faith.
And her,
a maiden butterfly,
captures the true beauty
of the entire universe.
Porcelain skin & ruby lips,
her jet black hair
blinds him,
reminding him,
that love still does exist.

Signs were seen upon the sky
Constellations faded before the eye,
As each one disappeared from view
So those born were doomed to die,
And as the cosmos blinked
Light,
Stars,
Faded,
Became dim, then the stars did die,
And with the demise
Those born of that time,
Passed beyond,
For with the signs gone
Where ever they were
Death,
Demise,
Extinction,
Was at hand, with each erased
So were their lives,
As if stars exhaled, they breathed one last time,
As the stars did extinguish
Millions of tiny lights died,
Only the twelve signs were fading
Others stars still shone bright,
Capricorn,
Aquarius,
Pisces,
Aries,
Taurus,
Gemini,
Leo,
Virgo,
Libra,
Scorpio,
Sagittarius,
They diminished till nothing
The constellations did die,
A world of many, became the few
But those born on the days of,
Ophiuchus,
They still stood
Never to die, as others had past,
And the Zodiac's died,
The serpent Bearer
He kept them apart,
Life
And
Death
But his struggle was eternal
For each was of just strength
For if one did for but a moment squeeze,
A balance lost, then each pulled apart
Venomous,
Dark
Constellations
Light
For a moment went dark,
It would take Centuries
For light,
To struggle from
The dark,
And so it was from time past
For that time to come,
Births did only happen
Between the days
November 30th,
&
December 17th,
No new births out of this time
Many were lost,
Many lights shone on
Till that time,
When the constellations
Were once bright in the sky,
The thirteenth sign
Serpent bearer,
Would look over us all, the same and one.
