i am much younger than i am
my hair is dark and thick
instead of pruned bald
i am lean and meek
feeling hollow
as if weightless

we are at an airport
with no memory of getting there

i had left my hotel room urgently
in a jacket that is not mine

i can't find my Swedish wife
whom i miss like a panicked child
and my Asian wife whom i've never never met before
and know all to well
is angry
and could care less if i got lost forever

i am going home to my parents house
i remember that they are dead
but we had just spoken
there will be soup and Hors d'oeuvre's

they wait for me

on my way
the streets and boulevards are unfamiliar
yet old hat
and no matter how long i walk
i can never find their house
located somewhere in Brooklyn
on Haze street in San Francisco

i have a business
and retain no idea of what i do

i left my cloths somewhere
and i don't know why
in a locality i cant remember
for a reason that doesn't exist

a beautiful woman smiles offers me ***
she is friends with a girlfriend whom i'm committed too
but do not know and never met
i want to cheat with her
but guilty kisses will ruin everything
so i turn away
murdering desire
in an already anchor-less miasma

i remember a past
my life a continuum
of disjointed vagaries
tears well up

i fear myself a figment
a bodiless revenant
stranded in a fog
sparkles and smoke
incandescence and shrouds
a dis-junctured soul
that clutches memories
like braids of dust
living in the eye of nothing
a labyrinth of shades
lighted by the sun of cognizance
a wretched phantom
transparent husk
living a dark fiction
my grave a womb

i am the dead living
Irish Ditty.. One fine day, middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.

Book Thief
When was the last time
I felt a raving hunger for life?
When had I but an eternity in moments,
on the edge of something vastly different?

How was it me and not you
who staked her soul high
on rolling hills of green,
took long draughts to savour, to condense
the weight of the world into one precious drink,

cup the shortest days in her palm and release them,
for her thoughts to balloon into the wild?

The delectable now
ripe as berries for plucking in winter,
and all things, like music
must peter
into silence.

So I suppose my question to you
is not concerned with
the stack of newly-minted green in your pocket,
nor the fleet of shiny cars, but
your pure self, simply being.
It’s prodding the heart,
a tiny critter fluttering with wings, wondering:

when will you ever get a second chance at this
all this storm
and inexplicable happiness—

or will you
go hunting for things,
whirling at mere traces
of power in your name—

or will you turn around
only to find a life
or a lie,
staring back wide-eyed
in endless shame?

I think I loved
The way you loved
Unconditionally
But with caution
I think I caught you
When you fell
But I sunk in the ground
And when you stood
I helped you up
And when you were out
I filled your cup
The times you were lonely
I held you like a baby
You were pretty free
You know I wear these
Shackles of paranoia
I think you saw them atleast
You tried to take them off
I couldn't trust you then
And I couldn't now
Though that's all I wanted
I question those times
Where you truly felt love
Because why did you hurt it
If it was so good?
You knew it would hurt
So you cut first
To get it overwith
I waited you see
There's cuts all over me
Now that you're over it

You would love me more

if you knew
the things I don't say

love me more
for the tears repressed/unseen

the thoughts that rise
yet fast sequestered,
virus quarantined,
lest infection spread

occasional
moan groan
an Ebola moon June
escapes,
inquiring ears overhear
and ask...

but quick deflected
with a
** hum,
nothing luv,
pushed back into
the hidey hole of opprobrium
and acid reflux

why why
suppress
if loving you better
the net net of it?

this is not the candy coated,
but the coal glow strife
that cannot be
quenched nor
solved with
anti-pain
meds

so put away, aside,
push back inside

you would
love me better
for the sharing,
but love me enough
for the be I be,
let my roughened edged pains,
be buried with my remains

a love unfettered
will place no obstacle
before you
from within me

love me for the man I am,
just the average man iam,
knowing that not knowing all,
not a deceit,
but a reprieve,
what I share,
strained and sleeved,
tho unrelieved,
it is relief
that burdens but,
only me

I ask of her, when drowsy, pre-sleep,
as my eye lids,
elusively and gravitationally, pulled ever lower,
a desperate last chance request by
my vast audience of too few,
give the poet's subconscious a fair shot,
a morning poem delivery,
you've requested, route assigned,
to the front door stoop steps of your lips,
for me to deliver, and earn my keep

if only a title you will provision?

she says:

lights out honey chile,
as she kisses the poodle good night,
you know you are quite
the acquired taste,
showing me such a fine time tonight,
ordering in vegetable lo mein,
won ton soup and a
spring roll in the summer time

washed down with an icy-white Bordeaux,
watching Guardians of the Galaxy (Part Two) on the telly
so all you and
your bonnie idea of showing a girl a good time,
quite an expropriation of a foreign cultural potpourri

a thank you yawn provided, a positive confirmation
of her appreciation + an acknowledgement of her AM order,
morning cafe au lait requested
in a big cup with no handles,
a croissant with French butter,
avec un poème exceptionnel

the title tithed,
poet-this, "you, an acquired taste"
please deliver it at seven o'clock sharp,
so I may be first to give it a like,
read it with my cafe,
tho you are an acquired taste,
you have already
acquired my heart*
