eileen
finally at my moon
it's mine
I took it

I'm turning one number older too
but that doesn't change who I am

I just want to skip
into December
wearing my sweaters

not hearing all the nonsense
in my ears

Underneath
If I say what’s on my mind
Does that make me brave?
Or is staying silent braver?
Does it matter either way?

Once I've successfully explored
the continent of my mind
all other worlds would pale away
nothing better there would I find.

Dazed Dreaming
I’ve seen honest faces before.
They’re usually attached to liars.

I live in another world in my dreams
Conscious, nautical, dreams
A window to a similar dimension
A gate to another universe
And
I am always almost fully
Awake

The dreams
The events
Though cryptic
Though jumbled
Somehow fully connect to one another

And
I never drift into this world
I merely exist within it
No beginning
No end
Always just a fleeting moment
Caught off guard in motion

There is
Only the sweet drowsiness
That keeps me guessing
Whether
I am stepping into a real dream
Or
Waking up from a false reality

Either way
I exist within two worlds
I dream within two worlds
I am aware within two worlds

And

Ever since I became aware of this
I think they
-Those in my dreams-
Did too

I think they
Have become
Sentient

Doesn't mean her heart doesn't cry.

A single word can save a life
a phrase can empower society
a sentence can revive a nation
a poem can change the world's entire history.

Last night I dreamt
I was a butterfly
but mysteriously
I couldn't fly--

A voice came
from a butterfly nearby:
you are too heavy
that's the reason why.

I then removed my shirt
(I just longed to fly)
all items in my pocket
I emptied and lo! I rose to the sky!
