Elizabeth Squires
she
is cold
we can feel
her winter breath
she chills our napes
with her gelid icy hand
we take to our warming hearths
to shelter from her frostiness
she has no charity nor any compassion
how baleful her season of bitterness

Ashly Kocher
Oh look
Here we go
Another round of snow
Falling from the sky
Piling up so high
When will we say goodbye
To winters end
Oh wait
It’s just the beginning
Of winter storm warnings
How many days until spring again?

Ashly Kocher
What kind of evil play was that Mother Nature
Bitter cold, freezing temps
Turned into a beautiful warm spring day (in the middle of winter)
At 12:01 the next day it was a high of 63
In less then 5 hours the temps drop below freezing again
The wind is howling, it’s freezing again
When will spring come back
Warm our bodies
And shed light on us...
For now the fireplaces will burn for some time
Until the temps rise again in due time
High of 65 yesterday and today is 30 with real feel of 8 ugh! Stay warm y’all!

Ashly Kocher
Teeth chattering
Body shaking
Goosebumps all over
Seeing your breath
Wind blowing
Flurries forming
Crisp, freezing air

Winter is here...❄️

Ashly Kocher
Leaves on the tree turning colors
What a beautiful sight to see
Falling gracefully to the ground
How much more whimsical could it be?
Blissfully creating a color pattern on which the ground we walk
Take a deep breath and take it all in
Filling your body with soulfulness feeling like a child seeing the world for the first time again...
Smiling all the way home
I walked with skip in step
Surrounding nature's beauty
Life's radiant breath
Leaves rainfall on the ground
Colours bright from floral bloom
Emerald and amber garland hanging frame of picturesque view
Love and earth in harmonic tune
It's getting colder now
but all things change
We'll just have to keep warm
by the fire
