day finds me out
hiding under covers of night
keeps rousing
until bless her heart
I cannot resist

songs of centuries
sound out the earth
deep in oceans
muffled drums

reborn in the roots of the earth
I display leaves and berries

along comes a bird who nests
sleeps in my branches

eats of my fruit
while feeding offspring

flies free across skies
spreading seeds of seedlings

never walk from my grave
in heavy despondency

I flew from here
before I was even buried

why does the bee buzzzz
a communication of

Beware
when he is loved so much

Guess he sees us as potential
hairless honey stealing bears

summer showered
shiny concrete
each drop
an ocean
a sky full
drink
of water
a bath
a shower
quick wash
its over

I have been befriended by a fragile life
a little feathered weight moth
no bigger than my smallest finger-
nail been flying around me-
and landing on me for days now-
cannot have much time left-
and me unworthy his only friend -
it will be down to me to dispose of his lifeless body

Petal pie
Preparing the ground
in this fertile mind
putting down roots
with the fervour I’ve found

Digging down deep
planting thought bulbs
hope will rise up
Their green shoots will
abound

Picking petals one by one
Counting every blessing seen
Rainbows on the wooden fence
Still life painted in a dream

Hedges run a distant mile
Shaped as every promise shown
Cutting corners of the lost
Happiness in what is grown

I’m cutting back the choking weeds
of doubt and negativity
And moving on the slugs and snails
that stunt my productivity

With mind over matter
this garden will bloom
this change is organic
and normal service
will not resume
(who wants to be normal
anyway?)

I’ve been sowing seeds
with faith love and prayer
In ground once barren
songs will blossom there

Melodies fragrant and free
Tiny sprouts of grand design
Break the soil seeking light
Flourishing for it is time

*Sing with me my garden friend
Walk along my winding path
Smell the beauty on the wind
Life shall be the aftermath
been doing more gardening lately and its a great space for thinking and the spirit! Thanks for writing with me

beauty roused the world from slumber
took it by the hand and danced it to freedom
on a merry go round and funfair full of-
candy and apples- the laughter of forgiven children
can now be heard throughout all creation

blackbird who serenades me to sleep
and sings for me to wake
hunts silently skipping through the grass
a table laid for such a beautiful bird
who can sing the socks off and on this man

Later one day, we went to a holiday trip.
Together we went, we went for trekking.
We went to the hills, we went for hiking.

As we went on further, she was awed by the scenic beauty.
As we went on higher, she was awed by that colder temperature.
As we went on farther, she was awed by the natural attraction.

She saw a snow-covered mountain peak enveloped by dark clouds.
She was really intrigued by this scene above her eye level.
She ultimately asked me with a smile, "What is that?"

I answered in one line, "Darling, it is my face in the slivers of your hair."

to know how to sell oneself is an art not practised by all
flowers do it naturally -or do they
bird song is a seller- I think
The universe as a whole does this- but It needs noting-
I feel that's where we humans might come in-
Then there is the sharing of beauty-
bread water shelter compassion- love
a place for all
