Where are the angels?

A man in trouble knees to pray
God tis a question an answer thou to say
in troubles you lend me an angel everyday
yet where are the angels i have not seen them in my way

from the heaven above a voice he heard
son stand before a mirror and be not sad
times everything doth look so bad
time to see the angel that made thee glad

think of the person with you in troubles stood
think of the person in hunger who gave food
think of the person in failure said thou art good
think of the person thy heart understood

the voice from heaven in silence end
tears to the eyes the words did send
remembered he those hands that lend
his quest for angels did end

angels be yound and old
beauty or beast with love never sold
angels in life found in every end
spare a moment and they have a name called a friend

Is it sounds
                  converging,
Sounds
            nearing,
Infringement,
                     impingement,
Impact,
            contact
With surfaces of the sounds
Or surfaces without the sounds:
Diagrams,
                skeletal,
                             strange?

Is it winds
                curling round invisible corners?
Polyphony of perfumes?
Antennae discovering an axis,
erecting the architecture of a world?

Is it
      orchestration of the finger-tips,
                                                       graph of a fugue:
Scaffold for colours:
                              colour itself being god?

Often I write about angels
this time I speak about special angels

They hold your hand when you need comforting
the ones that refuse to leave your side
they hug you in such a way
that your heart fulfills its destiny
and you know it's going to be okay

These angels come in all sizes
full of heart, hope, happiness
sharing peace, healing, so much love
they are the light we search for
when we are in the darkness
they are the life we've needed
when the roads seem to stretch on and on

Perhaps you've seen one of these special angels
one of them I know for a fact
has led me straight to you

Many blessings, much love
may your life be full of it all
Dedicated to Linda
a very dear friend of mine

You know sometimes we speak of angels
even when others don't believe
but I know that they exist
and are watching over us
caring and loving us
defending us even when
we don't realize it

If your conscience says no
when you want to say yes
t'is an angel talking to you
to teach you right from wrong
but the final decision
is but of free will
it is ours to make

I thank God for angels
that I cannot see
and I thank God for angels
just like you!

angels are born and given to us as gifts
they are given to us to love and to nurture
each one comes in a different size or form
each one has his or her special ability
they are brought to us to give us love
and they are surrounding us every day

know what makes angels?

when I look at you I know the answer
God created you just for me
with cuddly teddy bear hugs
and lots of kisses
my angel is none other than you

oh sweet heavens
God is good
taking care of our angels
as they come to you
wrap her in your arms
hold her tight
hear her heavenly voice
sing Hallejuah

beautiful smile
most giving heart
sending us love
from purest heart
gone now from us
but not forgotten

''Innocent Angel''

she was heaven sent
we all know that
the brightest eyes
the sweetest smile
most tender cheeks

she was here briefly
came; passed us by
the cutest laugh
the kindest heart
most loving child

she was beautiful
then and now
the coolest kid
the alltime best
innocent angel

A voice out in the midst
calling out to me
to listen with the heart
and let yourself be free

I look around to see
who would call my name
yet I see no one
but the words were the same

Listen with your heart
only then speak again
still I saw no one
as soft words seemed to reign

The voice of a friend
speaking gently to me
now feeling so safe
I felt I could fly free

The gift of patience
sent to me with such love
thus from an angel
sweet presence from above

Another day gone
and you're not coming home
though I've waited for you
to come through that door
so I lay in bed awake
wondering where I made my mistake
thinking 'What did I do wrong?'

Patiently I wait
but you still haven't come
and I'm torn inside out
my heart is torn in two
wondering 'Where will I go now'
as humbly my head I bow
praying ''Is Daddy coming home?"

Day after day I've cried
wanting you back with me
you're forever in my heart
as I wear tear-stained clothes
my life's now rearranged
and it feels so strange
asking  ''Please, will you come home?''

Then one night I heard
an unfamiliar sound
drifting through the house
but I knew no one else
could possibly be there
slowly I walked up the last stair
thinking, 'Dear Lord, be with me''

I stood there at first
on the brink of the steps
a drum beating in my chest
before I stepped forward
the sound closer still
''Oh Lord,'' I prayed, ''what is thy will?"

stepping now into the light
Mom was there crying
but not a sad tone, see
but rejoicing for there
above us was Daddy
nevermore out to roam
for God had taken him home
singing, ''How Great Thou Art.''

There he was at last
an unexpected angel
that had gone through
the Pearly Gates
Hallelujah to Him on High
for we'll meet again by and by
loving with purest of hearts
Listening to a young teen sing about her father who had committed suicide, I thought of one of my granddaughters as well. Her stepfather had done the same thing. This young lady's song, its words & her voice brought this to my heart:
