We must've spun around about 78 times
The morning was a majestic disaster
Broken glass on the floor,
Paired with fallen curtains,
Scattered reading material,
Chocolate wrappers all over the rug

There was a sense of expired enjoyment
All over the living room
My eyes were all beat up
And the pain laid quietly beneath them

There was a tremble in my hands
All I could think about was
The window that doesn't open
Sean Daley's depression as a happy mess
Knowing today needed a mute button
we will fight for our last breath
but
then concede to death

Intangible
Mutable
Fluid as firmament
Salty water in cracked palms
Constantly flowing past its boundaries
and retracting
Better to dam(n) it than drown itnit?
Surely
You don't
Have to go?
Stay for a while.
I'll tell you the truth.
The land beyond the mountains
Is little known
Save for legend
of Krykry

An ancient sprawling city
Of unknown origin
That has lied in ruins
For untold millennia

From the top of the mountains
Its crumbled spires can be seen
Though few venture near
Those treacherous peaks

Some say the city was built
Long before humans walked the earth
The thought of which makes men shudder
For they have heard tales of the things

That walked under the sun
When yet it was young in the sky
and streaks my heart walls inky
intermittently

I don't want to keep
grieving the passed
it hijacks the now

it's all we have

just a string
of fleeting, fragile moments
with zero guarantees
He shuffles in snuffling
I see that the cold
has got to him.

Tea for to warm his bones and
a seat to complete his rest.

It's not so unusual these days
to see the luckless to whom
the Lady of Luck never pays.

Signs of the times?
if so
we corrupt them in couplets
and rhymes when it should be
doublet and hose
for the warriors
within

the man who shuffled in
goes
and another soul
takes his place

same look on her face
it could be his twin or
it might be a friend of
mine
shuffling in.

At the sharp end of the stick
it becomes harder to pick
yourself out of the gutter.

Thank God it's not me
sitting there
drinking tea
wondering where or how
never thinking blue sky
only wondering why

and why is the question we answer with
Why?
