6 am
(though it's really 5 am, the sun knows this)
surfacing from dreams into the yawning light of early
regrettably, with a troubled, insecure heart.
With stillness, I reach out in listening.

Birds.

Outside, one boundary away, they speak of the joyous Sun.
They speak of heat and light of day.
They speak of Earth and Nature.

They speak of their Love for me.
For all,
but that all
includes me.

I notice their Love. I drink it
like the skin a warm bath.
Caretakers of the dawn,
they bring the light inside for me.

In the presence of birds
I am friendful,
my soul is quenched.
My heart is smiling, yellow and rose.

My leg stirs,
eager to start the day.
Birds are a way for the voice of Nature to reach into the cities. I think everyone could use more listening, especially when they're feeling lonely and dispossessed.

Some puffs later and
the world fills with a quality
of Self

The Immortal wishing to see
the Mortal at play, with its little *****,
starts and stops, tries and meanderings,
a spectacle exotic and wondrous,
the tangy taste of temporal existence,
an unmissable show.
It reaches out for Life
just as we reach out to the Beyond;
a chasing; a swirl; a dance.

Howling in love
as the steps live.

Such gifts that cannot be held
it has to give, uncountable, luminous,
some so bright that could banish
the rooms of fragile shadow play,

until the hands recognize the light
as themselves.
LSD+**** in low doses grants me, as does many others, the tangible presence of our Future, and its unending fountain of Love, Joy, Trust, and Art.

The Fairy Tale Queen
and her vast Queendom of stories
entwined, branching, shepherded

The Fairy Tale Queen
directing questions and wonder
so that each yarn can flower

The Fairy Tale Queen
ruling with a hand of Order
and a hand of Whimsy

The Fairy Tale Queen
Herself a Fairy, Itself a Tale

The Fairy Tale Queen
Queen over her subjects
and over herself
Inspired from a dream, where I've witnessed the Queen in loving action
