How do I tell you
I don't have the words to say
Please stop loving me

Your name
always on my lips

Your face
always there
when I close my eyes

Your presence
always in my dreams

You haunt me

Time stood still,
for but a brief moment,
the world was mesmerized
by yet another inhumane
act of terror.

And when the
smoke cleared &
the rubble fell,
we swore allegience
against the devil,
not Allah.

Plain & simple,
there was nothing sacred
about small-minded,
selfish bearded-men
with virgins on their minds
flying jets into the Twin Towers
loaded with humans
working to make
ends meet.
Nothing.

Sometimes people you've forgiven
do one last ****** thing to you
and you never recover
and you never see them the same again.

I have this bad habit
When I wake up all
I can think about is
You.

Right now
life feels
like a late night drive
into the middle of nowhere,
it's 3 am and
I can't see.
Okay I guess I could use map
Yet no one has one.
Oh well,
I'm not going places
Maybe All I need is a hiatus.

Sing with me,
I've slept with bloodshot eyes
I've dreamt of a sunrise
that erases everything
Oh, every thing

Move with me
You won't have to be alone
Wrap your hand around a microphone
And sing with me until the sun comes

Sleep with me
Talk to me about yourself all night
We'll grow tired as the dawn bites
And lay side by side,
with no where to hide

Too tired-
we can pretend to be dead
Too bad it's all in my head
It's all in your head
We'll never be dead
There is a bird in the poplars!
It is the sun!
The leaves are little yellow fish
swimming in the river.
The bird skims above them,
day is on his wings.
Phoebus!
It is he that is making
the great gleam among the poplars!
It is his singing
outshines the noise
of leaves clashing in the wind.
