Oh
There are things that exist
inevitably
They come along with truth,
with a massive ball of emotions
One day you walk on your feet
under the blazing sun,
the next day, they hit you hard
death
growth
change
remembering
forgetting
committing mistakes
falling in love
getting hurt

You are smitten

And how ironic it is
that the word hurt stays the same
in past, present and future tenses
You were hurt
You are hurt
You will be *hurt
Did this during my 12nn class zzZ

And little did she know
that love is a poison
now she is fighting for her life

You have every right to be scared.
They will all break your heart
and your heart is not a bone.

It does not get stronger every time.

I'm willing to love anyone because
My soul is broken in two
However, the reason I'm in love now
Is because there's nobody else like you

Ashley Clarke
She was poetry,
And she was beautiful.

With her eyes
Filled with metaphors.

And the secrets
And similes
In her smile.

Her personified hair,
The adjectival laugh,
The imagery in her hands.

Liaisons between
Her eloquent feet
And the soil.

She is poetry,
And she is beautiful.

not so anonymous
I know you
You don't know me
I see you on the street
You don't even look my way
Ever since high school
I've craved your presence
But I was the girl in the back of the class
The girl who never spoke
The girl who couldn't muster the guts
To tell you I wanted you
And you were the guy with the laugh
The guy adored and seen by all
I was hoping you would turn
And see me back there
And think 'that girl looks beautiful'
But you never did
And here you are standing
On the corner of the street
And here I am walking your way
God only knows what you'll say
But I'm going to tell you I love you,
I'm going to tell you anyway

The things that I see
The things that I hear
He's cowering in the corner
She's crying behind the bathroom door
It's not right what they do
They yell and call names
They beat and humiliate
They feed off the weak and broken
Find your voice
Say what you wish
Don't let them hold you back
Speak what you believe
The things that I see
The things that I hear
He's holding a gun
She's screaming for help
It's not right what they do
They cut and they bleed
They pop and they fall
They fall apart before your eyes
Find your voice
Say what you wish
Don't let them hold you back
Speak what you believe
The things that I see
The things that I hear
He's lying there dead
Her screams have silenced
It's not right what they did
They cried and they cursed
They broke and they wrote
They fell into the praying hands of others
Find your voice
Say what you wish
Don't let them hold you back
Speak what you believe
The things that I see
The things that I hear
His life thrown away
Her prayers gone unanswered
It's not right what happened
They fought and lost
They begged and got ignored
They were lost to ignorance and rage
Say what you wish
Find your voice
It might save them
Stop bullying. It ends in tragedy. He took his own life. She was beaten by people who used to pick on her. Find your voice and speak
