I said , What about my eyes
God said , Keep them on the road
I said , What about my passion
God said , Keep it burning
I said , What about my heart
God said , Tell me what you hold inside it
A streamer hangs down lifelessly,
the party is over for you
and for me
the ice cream has gone
the candies have too
all that is left
is
me holding you
and the party is over
we
had lots of fun
we danced in the moonbeams
and ran through the sun

we tasted so much
touched even more
it's time to go home now
time for
closing the door.
let go of the blue
constantly hidden and true
there are too many hills
left to climb
leave all the windmills
behind

let go of the guilt
that your heart is too big
I know it sees too
I'm just a guest visiting
borrowing
your smile just like glue

(mending wings
and severed strings
petal and root)

let go of wet salt
it cannot be your fault
that you shelter our hopes
we come mere vessels
weak and effervescent;
we leave complete with a soul
the sunflowers gleamed
in the noon day sun
their flourish of colour
couldn't be out done

the sparrows flitted
above their ravishing visages
they were enchanted
by their dazzling mirages
the sunflowers gleamed
in the noon day sun
their flourish of color
couldn't be out done

the sparrows flitted
above their ravishing visages
they were enchanted
by their dazzling mirages
