She was'nt
strong enough
to be on her
own.

Empty was
her heart when
she was forced
to sleep
alone.

A Monarch
sat weightless
and silent
at the
entrance to her
mind.

All I ever
did was
provide an
escape,
my gifts
are not
ment to
be
cherished.

Weekdays
mean work days
and my work
here is never
done.

His screams
drowned out
her pleas and
her weeping.

I listened
only to
the sounds
of the passing
cars and
insane sirens
that yelled
like Banshees
in the city.

I hung up
the phone
than pulled
out the cord.

My days
remain
haunted by
those long lost
nights
before.

She slept wearing
nothing but
a locket around
her neck and
his knee
in her back.

She was'nt
strong
enough to
be alone,
she still
calls me
crying on
my useless
telephone.
why
You feel like no one cares
And you're all alone in the world
They all got their own problems
aint got the time for yours
and everything they say is a critisicm
and you fight and you cry
and it seems like they care
but really it was just a dare
a flirtacious fun thing for them to do
and they're gonna break your heart
and you never knew
but now that you do
you want to die
because everything seems to say goodbye.
and you wanna never know why
1:23 am, this exhale just brought me back to life
The music has influenced my environment
Strangers and lovers and thirsty hearts lingering in my presence
Being pulled by my sides by you and reminded I was beautiful
1:27 am That moment made me reassure my being
I was loved, I was drunk, I was high, I was in love
And that’s all it took, we danced, we danced, and we danced.
Tongues hungry for each other’s minds
Your knowledge excites me; your heart evaporates in me softly.
Your touch is irresistible, and I’d be a fool if I decided to resist you.
3:00 am the goodbyes were a mess
Is this forever can we be that again
Can we do that again and again
Come back and love me I want to be around you again.
4:00 am your knowledge excites me, you’re in my mind, you’re in my tongue, you’re in my breath, you’re in my ear, you’re in my sense, you’re in my head.
Back and forth, it was you, all about you.
5:00 am intoxicated thoughts.
Telephone poles
                                     thrown in stitches
across the never-ending blanket
-- that you stopped following somewhere
after an indie rock concert. The pattern that gavels crusades
                                                               on segmented streets--loss balance
bookshelves. Times when tongue-tied families test the lengths
                                                                                                      of rapture and abundance,
both mouths tired and one eye black--a sock monster. A dog outside barking
                                                                              and lists,
                                                                              and lists,
                                                                              and lists,
                                                                              and so on.
All this while you watch the tide fall and rise.
I want to run away with you,
Away in that big box of blue.
And hear the question, "Doctor who?"
"I'm afraid we're just passing through."
You really have to be a Doctor Who fan to understand this poem.
the yellow sun
was shining down
on grass and sand and waves
it was a place
where children went
to laugh
and dance
and
play.

as molly ran
and wandered off
she found a magic thing
a deep blue house
carved out of stone
in which the wind
would sing.

the other children
climbed about
and gazed into
the cave
and johnny said
“i’ll lead the way”
(because he was most brave)
and tad and tommy
followed him,
for they were big
and strong
while alice chose
to stay outside
but molly tagged along.

the dark was very chilly
and the silence, very wet
johnny shivered and looked back
but couldn’t leave
just yet.
now molly didn’t notice:
awe
and wonder
filled her eyes;
she found a solace
in the stillness,
comfort,
in the pitch black sky.

when suddenly, there came a rustle
from a hundred winged things
as dark as sin
with deep red eyes
shrieking
just like rusted swings.

tommy was the first one out
(his long legs made him fast)
then john and tad
ran into alice
and tumbled on the grass.
and when the world
had settled down,
the quiet had returned
they saw that one
was not around
and they became concerned.

but don’t you worry,
little molly
was fine as fine can be
as she uttered boldly to the dark:
“you never frightened me"
