I feel a little joy
to see the new growth on the sage bush
it survived the deep freeze of winter.
I join this subtle green creature
in this moment, in this piece of now
maybe I too will get through this season
with a small burst
of creative energy
enter the gates
and rejoin Life.
Written this morning after a period of creative lull and darkness.

The afternoon sun shines green in the Elm
bathes the day in transparent glory
autumn grants a few more emerald days
in a clear bright sky of blue.
Oh how the wonders of this earth
cast hope to me
piercing shadows with what is true.

I am not a Phoenix waiting for rebirth
I am a silly boy dressed in feathers
thinking that Mardi Gras could bring me joy
I am not trying to disguise a part of me
I am trying to become something new entirely

Raw
I came as fresh as pine
My skin deep in scars
Of amber sap.

Never before had the
Flesh been warn
By the stripe

You did strike and begin to
Muster up as lust does
An incubus within

Who took pride in
His body suit
So willful
To touch and sin

He takes up his chord a spell
A shadow of Black Mary
No boundaries
Between trust

And I serene in slumbers art?
Spoken for my dreams
Of spirits drift

asleep.
A fire
Deep.

Burns out circumstance to decision.
Oblivion.
The back we scratch at 1:56
The  gorgon casts
A distinct stare.
Perv I thought was my friend feeling me up.

hey,
 Jun 2020 Ashley
makeloveandtea
can we
sit on the
concrete
pathway
next to
the garden,
with our
warm
coffee
cups?
i want
to take
photographs
of you
in this
green shirt,
in this
morning
light.

We sit in your car
With the sun shining through
And take a moment
To just
Breathe.

Through the peach-fuzz pink
Of the interior of my eyelids
I can feel you watching me,
Your gaze as warm and lingering
As the rays of sunlight softly caressing my skin,
I imagine you tracing a pattern in your mind,
Following the gentle flutterings of my eyelids
Exploring the soft shape of my face
Watching the gentle susurration of my breath pooling from just-parted lips
Tracking the ridges of my collarbones
On marble white skin.
I can feel you watching me
And it makes me so overjoyed
Because I missed this
This thing that is not quite yet but a little akin
to love.

A moment of self doubt
Flickers in my field of vision-
What if I am wrong?
What if you do not feel this way
And I am stuck
In this idyllic peach-pink cherry-blossom fantasy of my own creation?
So I unshut my eyelids
Unstop time
And through the bluish haze
Of the suns rays
I find
Your eyes
On mine.

this december, this rain
is full of fire
- fire and smoke.
it's raining
ashes,
- ashes, ghosts,
corpses
of dreams and days
long gone
memories
