Our eyes tell tales of our curiosity
on how it would feel
to be skin to skin
lips to lips
to submit to each other
to tease each other
playing with our desires
till we fill the room
with echoes of moans

And finally the exhale of
satisfaction.

I didn't have to make it official to know who you belonged to.
Where you longed to.
Every morning, you'd roll over and I'd notice how well the sun shined down on you, creating a glow on your skin,
as if you were an angel.
It wasn't till then I realized you were the one I've been longing for.
The one I've been praying for.
It's been you.
And if they ask who you are,
I tell them you're the one.
havent wrote in a while. heres a quick piece...

3 in the morning my mind is on you,
wandering wildly,
thoughts of fear
thoughts of worry
thoughts of the you.
Knowing that the sound of your voice grows flowers in my heart,
as mine doesn't do the same for you.
But yet you choose to ignore me,
push me to the side,
then when you're lonely,
say 'you're mine',
treat me like I'm not yours,
am i not yours?
still needs work..

it's one of those
things; how
coffee, after dinner
sounds good but
you can't sleep when you get home &
how the trees look so beautiful
dying and gold
still, outside it freezes you
down to your bones
it's when you feel like that
last slice of cake that
got left out
it's this
breathing to scream but
don't open your mouth
I've been
digging for reason
buried in doubt
to believe in what's good when
that isn't allowed &
I've swallowed my gun
it was loaded with love but
it shot out my lungs
I learned love's not enough

his eyes were dead dull
but his intellect was sharp

his demeanor was mild and dignified
made her more triumphant and less terrified

he did not see her screaming imperfections
but seemed to know all her silent actions

love for him  was a blind leap into the future
confident of a soft landing on green turf

So she learned to see things with her heart
and surprised herself with the riches there
i was walking around town earlier on today when i came across this blind couple that has survived the toughest of times in this sleepy little zimbabwean town where i live. they were so happy together, revelling in an intimacy that depends less on actual sight than on perception. couldn't help writing this poem.

It's not you, it's me
Quite literally
It's you
Doing the sowing
It's me
That is reaping
The results of your words
Your hands
Your fists
How you ball them up
And ****** your actions in them
The days that you're gone
When I need more than one word
Your silence is deafening
Your absence threatening
To leave me feeling
What you must think
Human trash must feel like
You only said you loved me
When alcohol flowed
Through your veins
Or when smoke
Clouded your judgement
Which must mean
You could not love me
While sober
It's not you, it's me
It's definitely not
How it is suppose to be
Do you not know
What it feels like
To put salt on a wound?
If you had
You wouldn't have
Loved me like you did
The way you say
You still do
I deserve more than silence.
