i never know where she'll be
she tells me to come see her
and then says she's busy
she goes to my house
raids my pantry
stocks up on ammo
steals ****
then leaves
this me helping you
you helping me bit
is not mutual
benefit
i never know where she'll be
but i always know
*when she's close

You peel
back the
        skin
& we are
the same,
hearts
     beating
beneath flesh,
       organs
translucent
as scaly fish
beneath the
        surface
of a lake,
life clearer
now judged
by the
weight of
        a soul,
almond
shaped versus
deep bowl
too heavy
          to hold,
things obscure
before stand
        clear as
stars pressed
         against
the night sky,
as your red
twisted veins
hand
in hand with
           mine.

On harried days when our world seems unkind,
There lies a place my senses crave to be,
Within the shady woodland wild and free,
To ease the burdens of my troubled mind.

I soak much joyous sounds the Wood bestows,
Absorbing dawn aubades each songbird sings,
While zephyrs murmur notes like chello strings,
Beneath a harsh cacophony of crows.

Infectious woodland scents I fondly yearn,
A wily pungent fox peers with unease,
The sweetness of the wildflower on the breeze,
Against the bitter of the trodden fern.

A rotted branch falls crashing to the floor,
As Nature shows its sudden crushing powers,
Two butterflies then kissed some purple flowers,
Such gentle grace that startled me much more.

A speckled thrush begins her fledgling wean,
In search of ration squabble in a fume,
A worm to share with raised and ruffled plume,
She watches proudly o'er in perfect preen.

The sparkling sunlight dapples through the shade,
As if it dripped from sun drenched foliage,
A scene where light and shadows both engage,
Unleashing dazzling splendour on the glade.

These wilds intoxicate me as I stroll,
The need for drugs or liquor I decry,
Near Nature I am naturally high,
As Gaia lulls me to her leafy soul.

Dusk slowly looms, as daylight moments wane,
Return I must to cruel society,
The healing woods restored much piety,
This ailing mind refreshed and freed of pain.

My words are but a shooting star
To be seen in all its glory
But as shooting stars fade in an instant
So do my words to be read once
Then fade into obscurity

Graffiti, vestige of love
Cuts marking very sign of
How I saw you then
Vandalism's when

That old elm holds a heart
Scrabbling promise to never part
Etching yesteryear
Bleeding sap sincere

Moment scorned upon tree
Traces time that never came to be
Once ever lusted yen
Now, only invocation of then

Had I never dug knife in
Happier may this arbor had been
Creeping vines overwhelm
Yours, mine, yester elm
Yes, yester is archaic. Therefore I found it fitting.

i'll stick with lizards.

Born
Sometimes my heart just skips
with sorrow and fear
of so many unpredictable events

My life hardly flashes in front of me anymore
everything is slowing suddenly
was I a worthy creature
did I earn my very existence

Am filled with questions and regrets
the world is possibly never going to be a better place
I open my eyes and I see him been devoured
I close them and I don't hear anything
they are all immuned to pain

I wonder
Is life really worth living?

they wonder
if there was ever a light at the end of the tunnel
they don't have fairy stories anymore
Maybe a quick death is a show of mercy
and these are the best fairy tales they have

When they took him
He cried out loud
Please shoot me, don't let them take me
you know what they'll do!

Someone from the crowd shot him
they all starred with no tears
they knew he's better dead than alive

Excruciating agony they felt

Is this what love is?
